We all feel connected to that part of the person that resonates to us the most. The emotions we felt while hearing his music, the emotion in his voice and the images painted by his lyrics. Often case United by a familiar pain as the understanding of which builds greater bonds in those that share it. You need not know a person personally to truly know them, often in life its the people you never meet that can have the most profound effect :)
To me it's because what they took from their own world's experience and translated into their art forms perfectly "met/matched" our own vision of surroundings, or described feelings perfectly. I think it is the magic of art, especially music. Through these objetcs, material things (sound waves, instruments, voices), we can "feel" immaterial things we have inside, and that words cannot translate as much as art, emotions I should say, as a whole. So I guess sometimes it's like someone we don't know, and who don't know us, actually does much for us than a friend or a family member. Because there is relief in the catharsis. Then we can go through our day. It's amazing. And I think we feel the sadness, the pain, the struggle of an artist when we connect ourselves to his/her music or art, it's like we know why he found the energy to express themselves, it's because he was feeling lost, and knowing we all do at some point. So it's a sharing experience, because something happens between people, and it's a divine experience.
Don’t forget that Chester did live a full and fun life. He was tormented by his invasive thoughts but that doesn’t define who he was. We are more then just the character we perceive and compartmentalize in our own head. Chester was a very passionate and inspiring man who always tried to improve his life and others around him. We need to remember that and use it as fuel to make our own bee hives/communities better. That is his legacy.
"What is a poet? An unhappy man who hides deep anguish in his heart, but whose lips are so formed that when the sigh and cry pass through them, it sounds like lovely music…. And people flock around the poet and say: ‘Sing again soon’ - that is, ‘May new sufferings torment your soul but your lips be fashioned as before, for the cry would only frighten us, but the music, that is blissful." - Søren Kierkegaard
Pain leaves a strong impression on the mind, so it’s relatable. People in general wish to achieve empathy, and this format is perhaps the closest we can get to mass empathy in our current civilization
Papercut made me tear up, remembering having discovered Hybrid Theory thanks to my brother 20 years ago as an 8 year old and loving it instantly. Also remembering scaring my school class when we were asked to bring our favorite songs to show the class and I chose Crawling :D
Ethan Summers Chester was - and, to be honest, still is - a kind of man to follow up. So talented musician, who always focused on the music. He always respected his fans. During the concerts you alway saw him interacting with the crowd and giving all his best. And after all those powerful shows he always had time for Meet&Greet (I am also the lucky one 🙂). It was his way of life. Nothing more - no scandals, no asking for media’s attention. Truly and forever missed. THE LEGEND

When my time comes Forget the wrong that I've done Help me leave behind some Reasons to be missed Don't resent me And when you're feeling empty Keep me in your memories Leave out all the rest Leave out all the rest... The song introducing me to Linkin Park. Yeah call me a Twilighter, but still an amazing song
It's highly underrated and overshadowed by "what I've done" minutes to midnight is the four album in my history that I can listen song after song without skipping.
Ohhh hahaha yes all of us has. I'm sorry for the disturbance hehe. All I can say to you my friend is keeping fighting for all battles that you'll fought in your journey 😄. Be strong friend :)
This version really brings new emotions to this music. Hard to keep a dry eye while listening to the heart of Chester through this music. Rest in peace my friend.
I discovered Linkin Park at 38, I’m now 56 and I play there music at least once a day, went to see them when I was 41, I was probably one of the oldest there but I still ended up in the mosh pit, they are part of my life, I feel like they are part of my family, my heart broke when I heard Chester had left us, a deep pain that I can’t get rid of, he was unique! I miss him!😢
That band got me through childhood, I don't know who I would be without them. For everyone who needs it, just reach out to each other with love and patience, every feels fear, hurt, hatred and even anger. They just may not be able to voice it well, they may not be able to connect without time. Just try to be there for each other if you can, and let others be there for you. That's what I learned from their music. So many of us wish we could've been there for him, and it breaks our hearts to know that we were too late, never miss your chance to help another if you can.
It’s amazing that people got together to do a dedicated orchestral performance for Linkin Park, I never thought I would ever see something like this, truly amazing ❤️
I still can remember the night I first watched "faint" on television like it was yesterday (17 years back??). I couldn't believe what I heard and what I saw. I instantly fell in love with this band and their music. Still today the melody of the strings gives me the chills. Over the years our ways parted, but when I learned about chesters suicide I was grieving. Depression is a terrible sickness and we have to learn how to conquer it as a society. God bless you and your loved ones, peace from germany.
This is absolutely fantastic. Chester would have loved this by this beautiful tribute, as would the remaining members of Linkin Park. I hope that they see it, Mike will love it.
His voice haunts me. His voice picks me up when I'm down even now. He speaks to me like a Guardian Angel in the form of his lyrics. At times, I miss him like a family member and shed a tear for him. R.I.P. Guardian Angel of this Planet.
Oh, this was so beautiful. Something I don't feel is captured about the music of Linkin Park and the emotions it evokes is that quietness your medley puts in so beautifully, particularly at the beginning and end. LP is usually 'shouting music' that you put on when you want to feel out loud, but there is, in every song, that core of wavering loneliness, which you brought out so well with the single-instrument lines. As a long-time fan, I feel like you did justice to it, and I hope Chester hears it, and feels the same, if people in the Great Beyond can still see and hear what we're up to on this little round wet rock of ours.
This medley is so full of energy, melancholy, powerful, and when you close your eyes you can imagine a full shortfilm with Chester as the main hero 👌 truly awesome
At the moment numb starts, going through the lyrics, with this incredible orchestration... Man, it made me cry. You can really feel the pain in Chester's lyrics. For all of you who had or are struggling with depression, anxiety, panic... I pray to God that He can make you remember the wonderful thing that is being alive, the marvelous thing that is the creation of the universe. We might be from start dust, and probably we will end up as dust, but that doesn´t mean we have no purpose, that life has no meaning... This song is a reminder of that.
Man when you hear it played by an orchestra it makes you appreciate how good they were as composers. Just in terms of pure quality of melody this is world class.
I cried, I love this so much. My dream was to make it to a Linkin Park concert, knowing it’s not possible anymore hurts me when I think about it. You are missed Chester
@Rocco Emma in his last performance at Birmingham just before he went into the crowd to sing One More Light he was talking about paying respects to victims and families of those involved in the Manchester Arena tragedy he said something along the lines of, ‘you can conquer hate by ignoring it, you can destroy it by loving the person next to you’ 💗 such a wonderful man with an amazing heart, I will always carry his message with me and honor him that way 🙏
I've seen it several times, and there's no way not to get emotional, there's no way not to cry, there's no way not to remember this band I've been playing for more than 20 years. LP forever!!!! 14/12/22
Linda e merecida homenagem à esse grande artista do rock que deixou saudades! Fica em paz onde estiver pq vc deixou sua marca aqui e ninguém pode apagar, vc será eterno!
The emotions that any of the orchestrations bring are almost indescribable. I still tear up whenever I listen to the orchestration for Breaking the Habit. RIP Chester.
Has Mike seen this??? I love for LP to do a review on this masterpiece. This could be a dope soundtrack to a movie. During Numb, I can still hear Chester's voice. Great Job Kaleidoscope!!
I’m so glad that Papercut was included. It was a great debut song with a beautiful ending which is perfect for this. Plus it’s not just one of the more overused songs.👍🏼
As a former band geek (percussionist), I would’ve absolutely thrilled to perform this piece. Omg, that was so good 🎶!!! My band teacher loved the Rat Pack and that old time era, we did so many tributes to people like Sinatra and Bon Hope, something like this would’ve been amazing to perform. A tribute to a hero 💕, RIP Chester.
Kaleidoscope Orchestra, “Wow”!!! This was one of the most beautiful songs, I have heard, in my entire life! Each and everyone of you are extremely talented! Your performance was truly magical...when a song brings you to tears...you know you experienced something very special. I have listened to your medley over and over again! Thank you very much for honoring Chester, I know he would have loved it. God Bless you and keep you Chester ❤️
I would love to see this go on tour and play the set list from their final one more light tour. Amazing performance!!!!! From a true LP fan here, I was proper moved by that!... Hope Mike gets to appreciate this.
I have no words. I think that I cried the whole video, but it is okay. I still cannot get over about chester. Somehow he's in my heart and that would never change. This is purely art, and I am so happy that I found it, thank you. Sorry if I wrote something wrong, still in tears.
I put on a random playlist and this piece brought back all the grief and heartbreak but beauty of what his songs did to people. This was his war cry for us.
How is it possible to have never met someone, but still miss them so much?

Omg, Just don't know why, my tears just keep coming out. It just can't stop 😭
This is the definition of goosebumps
These people don't even know how they've reached me today. Thank you!
The emotions that any of the orchestrations bring are almost indescribable. I still tear up whenever I listen to the orchestration for Breaking the Habit. RIP Chester.
The like button is not enough, this medley brought tears to my eyes. Thank you all for making this.
Has Mike seen this??? I love for LP to do a review on this masterpiece. This could be a dope soundtrack to a movie. During Numb, I can still hear Chester's voice. Great Job Kaleidoscope!!
Strongly, to tears.

I've watched this so often in the past few months, and every time it brings tears to my eyes. RIP Chester, you are sorely missed.
My favourite songs from this legendary band
Numb breaking emotions, river of tears for my hero Chester. Thanks guys for this tribute. Music can save us all.
This is so beautiful. I cry every time I hear it. RIP Chester. One more light 🕯
I’m so glad they did Faint!!! I was hoping they’d do that!!
It's almost like hearing it again for the first time but with the emotion that Chester isn't here with us. Breath taking
Chester would be very happy seeing you guys do this.
“numb” really got me.😢
I’m so glad that Papercut was included. It was a great debut song with a beautiful ending which is perfect for this. Plus it’s not just one of the more overused songs.👍🏼
Rest In Peace, I think someone cut the onions. 😭😭😭
Ending it down at NUMB gets you chills down your spine. This makes you cry. RIP Chester🖤
I'm utterly honestly impressed by this crew
I put on a random playlist and this piece brought back all the grief and heartbreak but beauty of what his songs did to people. This was his war cry for us.
