    In the WUE when your at max temp make sure its turning off. I noticed your last couple numbers 165 and 120. But my understanding is when it’s set to 100 that’s when it’s off. So I would just make sure it turns off when you’re up to temp.
    Another good practice is to have spark and fuel cut or both is the actual name for it.

    Thanks! Some of this helped

    Nice video for beginners for sure! But be careful, your wue curve is wrong... You have two different values for 20° (maybe you erased the - by mistake) and the curve should always finish by 100% (it's written on the small help box on the bottom of the curve).
    The way it's set right now says that you are always offsetting your ve table by 20% because it never goes off wue! I'm surprised that your tuner didn't see that... Make sure to increase your whole table by 20% if you set back your last wue value to 100%! (you might also need to tune wue again)
    I'm also not sure about removing the mat correction, especially if you have heat soak issues. You better try to fine tune it instead of removing it! It's very useful on turbo builds
    Good luck on your tune, it looks like you have a nice miata going on!

      Lagontinas, thanks for the wisdom man, sounds like you're someone I wish I could've talked to while trying to figure this out. I sold the car unfortunately... But I had the tune sorted fairly well before I let it go. It's definitely not the end for me and mx5's.

    This was super helpful for me (someone who know nothing about tuning cars). But are u running a stand alone, or is it something else?

    Do you have any tips for tuning idle in the idle control tab? Im having a ton of oscillation and car tends to stall every time i come to a stop

    • @baddbhvr206
      @baddbhvr206  7 років тому

      Gregory Lee, honestly I just adjust my idle with the idle screw, my car seems to idle best around 1100-1200rpm. you could possibly have a vacuum leak? either way I'd try turning it up a little bit at a time and seeing how it acts.

      I have my idle screw adjusted to around that, but I have a ton of issues of the idle jumping up and down.. AFR goes normal to lean and repeats over and over. I may have to play around with the open/closed loop. Or maybe my IAC is clogged up

      Gregory Lee, hmm did you tune the car yourself? I assume you've checked for vacuum leaks. I guess you could have clogged iac or something. I haven't messed with idle control in tuner studio much.

    Hey I just got a megasquirt pnp 2 for my turbo Miata. How much does it cost to get a dyno tune?

    • @baddbhvr206
      @baddbhvr206  7 років тому

      Gabriel Bashara: it depends on the tuner, my first tune was around 500 I believe, then I went back for more boost, then I decided to do EWG to regulate boost creep, all said and done I'm probably around 13 or 1400. not sure where you are located but I'd recommend having all your ducks in a row before going to the tuner, that way you don't have to pay them big bucks for small issues, also make sure they are respected in the field and have experience with megasquirt.

      FORCEFED206 I understand. I am located in Southern California. I am new to tuning but have been doing quite a bit of research on miataturbo.net as well as UA-cam and reading the pnp2 manual. I have my wideband and boost gauge installed but the wideband seems to be very unstable so most likely I will upgrade to the innovative lc2.

      Gabriel Bashara , How unstable is it? my wideband is a bit unstable too, if it shows the same in tuner studio as on the gauge then it's probably correct.

      Guillermo Martínez, sure I can help, are you talking about being able to access the ECU with your laptop?

    • @guillermomartinez8455
      @guillermomartinez8455 7 років тому

      Correctly bro, do you have teamviewr.? or how can we do it.?

    • @baddbhvr206
      @baddbhvr206  7 років тому

      Guillermo Martínez , Im not sure atm what driver I used but I just went to radio shack and bought a driver with an install disc, once you have tuner studio and your driver installed you will need to create a new project and have the ignition on to connect to the ECU

      i have the project in a usb cuz someone else did it but now i know a lilttle and i want to put the launch control and i just need the driver couls you help me by teamviewr.?

    • @baddbhvr206
      @baddbhvr206  7 років тому

      Guillermo Martínez , I've never used TeamViewer before, if you can walk me through where you are getting stopped up I will try my best to help. is your laptop just not recognizing the driver? if so you may have to use a different one

    You do know 205kPa boost cut is like 30 psi?

    • @baddbhvr206
      @baddbhvr206  7 років тому +1

      Guy Bean, technically you are correct, but you need to do a little more research. Try searching "kPa to psi boost". I'm not a professional but I learned about this from my tuner who definitely knows what he's doing.

    • @Beansswtf
      @Beansswtf 7 років тому +1

      I see, kPa doesn't count positive pressure until after 101 kPa, my bad dude, your spark cut is set to 15 psi in that case haha!

    • @Beansswtf
      @Beansswtf 7 років тому +1

      100 kPa = 0 psi
