How to make Spring and Easter baskets from peat pots #peatpots #springdecor #easter #baskets #shabbychic #decoupage #airdryclay Check this out! a.co/d/fNrmcN4 Peat pots
Great job, they’re all so adorable! Great to fill with real plants too. And you’ve shown me there’s value in using these pods for other crafts as they have great texture when painted. They can be cut into any shape you want, like material. There’s a lot of potential here.
These are absolutely adorable! Definitely going to try these. ….. maybe if you try putting a glass that will fit inside for a harder surface, it would make it easier to do the transfers…. Just a thought💕
You might find if you put a small glass or jar inside of the pot...It will give you a solid hard area to press your decal, clay mold, or stamp against, to secure the item. Just a thought. Hope it helps in the future. Cathleen
Lots of inspiration here, thanks for the video. Your pots are very pretty indeed Lisa. I am curious how much would you sell them for., as you put alot of work into them? Thanks Susan and Gary from Port Dover, Ontario Canada.
Hi Lisa, These are so adorable. Like the doily idea. I would like to know the names of the purple and yellow paint you used. Also, where did you purchase the pretty eggs? Are they styrofoam ? 💕What great napkins you were gifted and such beautiful lace. That’s 😊 lovely.
JUST A WARNING....DONT use too much water in the Plaster of Paris...AND dont paint them first, lol....I did both and it wasnt even that much water, just enough to mix it and pour it into the peat pots (even less than the directions said to use)....but the water absorbed into the pot & a water stain appeared like an hour after I poured it and the plaster was mostly dry already, but the pot was damp and there is a water stain now and its much higher than the plaster even reached which was odd! And I had already painted them and added a decal. It only did it on 2, but one was white & that one was the WORST one, the next day it turned brown halfway up the pot even thought the plaster is only 1/4 filled in the pot. And it turned the paint brown. Im waiting for it to dry because I used a super cute decal I had that I only have one of, lol, OF COURSE! The next batch I made I only used half of the water they suggest and it turned out perfectly fine. I might use pebbles or stones next time instead of the plaster though just so I dont have the down time of waiting for them to dry. And Dollar Tree has nice small, clean stones that are great to use. I just wanted to try the plaster & Ive had a carton sitting here forever that I wanted to use up!
Just love your videos! I love when you get started and we hear about what you’re going to make, the music starts, we settle back and watch you create beautiful things! ❤️
I used the pip berry vine from Dollar Tree and removed the berries. The last ones I did I had to use rusty wire because I couldn’t find what I used before.
Lisa you need to seal the paint and make sure its good and dry and then your rub on transfers will go right own,I use the diy brand liquid patina in the chandelier color( clear) but dixie belle has its own brand of sealers so one if those would work.
Perfect video how was looking at those peat pots when I was out shopping today thanks for the idea even if I don't have those napkins blessings to you and your family
@@ourshabbycottage8553 it is one of the biggest issues that I see UA-camrs make. And it seems to be amongst particular groups of UA-camrs that think that you have to use music

Oh no! I thought I mentioned I mixed it very think. Maybe I forgot that. Pebbles are a good item or even one larger stone glue to the bottom🙂

I get $4 but you could probably get $5-$6 in most areas.❤️🙂

What did you use for the handles. Is it just rusty wire or grapevine twig?
I used the pip berry vine from Dollar Tree and removed the berries. The last ones I did I had to use rusty wire because I couldn’t find what I used before.
