    I had a bubbler like that once that was loud. I took it apart and found out that the little eccentric pin that drove the pump diaphragm had come out of the hole it was supposed to be in. It was hitting the little bracket on the pump and making a lot of noise. It still made bubbles because it was hitting the diaphragm, but not as well as it should. I put it back in the proper place and it was much quieter. Just something to look at. It's louder than the first one.

    I know a new boat is im the horizon, but you NEED to check out the aerator by Engel. Super quiet, no moving parts and it's rechargeable.

      i got the engel aerator recently and its great. Not having to buy expensive batteries every month and it being quit and having multiple settings for $50 is great. Way better.

      One of the best things I have done was switch to the engel rechargeable aerator and bait cooler! I use a fish tank aerator for home as not to overwork the aerator.

    Great video, thanks, gotta love that snook action. You may want to try an improved clinch knot instead of the loop, especially with snook. They shake their head so much the loop gives the snook more leverage to move and shake the hook. Just a personal experience, good luck this year!

      It’s mostly a preference thing, anglers acquire different tastes. my dad likes fluorocarbon and i like braided line. Need to have thick enough leader for your specific situation. on the beach we use 6lb test with 20lb leader. under a bridge we use 65lb braid and a 70-100lb leader.

    • @artificialslinger9730
      @artificialslinger9730 4 місяці тому +1

      @@evading240dead on the money . Only thing I do and recommend is during summer time don't use light line and leader good way for fish to kill themselves. Summertime I normally use no lighter then 15lb braid and 30lb leader.
      Late fall , winter , early spring I use 5lb braid and 15 to 20lb leader.

    • @artificialslinger9730
      @artificialslinger9730 4 місяці тому

      Evading240 is basically dead on
      But here's a few combos I use for snook and times I use it
      All year around I can use my
      7' 8-17 med heavy bull bay assault rod with a 3000 reel ( Shimano Twin Power ) 15lb braid and either 30 to 40lb fluorocarbon leader.
      Not only is this combo good for all year but it's perfect for live bait and top water.
      Can use it for smaller docks and lighter mangroves. And this is one I use for sure in the summertime
      Late fall , winter , early spring ( cooler water temps I have 2 combos
      7'4 5-10 med fast custom Bull Bay , Shimano Stradic 1000 5lb braid and either 15 or 20lb leader. I normally use this combo for my finesse type of fishing. Few baits I use with this combo zman slim swimz 2.5" , salty ned shrimps , mini mirrodines , spook boyo top water. Great for sight fishing or open water conditions
      2nd combo for late fall , winter , early spring
      7'4 5-10 med extra fast Bull Bay banshee with a 2000 Shimano Vanford. 8lb braid and either 20 to 30lb leader.
      Summertime I like my 7'6 10-20 custom Bull Bay Rod with a 4000 Shimano Stella with 15lb braid and 30 to 50lb leader
      Beach fishing 7'6 6-12 bull bay sniper 2500 or 3000 Shimano Sustain 10lb braid 20 to 30lb leader depending on The clarity of the water. But even with 20lb I use like 3 foot of 20 and then add like 10 inches of 30lb
      Hopes this helps

    I used to use a bubble bucket but I found it's much more effective to use an in-water bait bucket. My bait lives much longer (2 days+) even tied off on a dock, than in a bubble bucket. Water stays cool and fresh. No batteries. Ive been using a $10 frabill troll bait bucket for 2 years and tossed my hush bubble system. Wouldn't go back. For a kayak or gheenoe, it would work great and clear up your deck space.

    • @TheRedfish
      @TheRedfish 4 місяці тому +1

      obviously in water bucket is superior but if you have no dock and when on the boat it is easier to use an aerator. But yeah at our dock we keep the bait in the bucket and they usually live a good few days

    What knot do you use to tie your braid To leader?

    • @Awb751
      @Awb751 4 місяці тому

      Pretty sure he uses an fg knot but I usually tie a double uni knot because it’s a lot easier and just as strong

    • @alexanderren1097
      @alexanderren1097 4 місяці тому

      As long as your leader’s short enough that it doesn’t need to go through the rod’s guides then the double uni is fine.
      But if you’re using a real long leader because you’re fishing in super clear water or some other reason long leaders are necessary then you want something that goes through the guides with as little resistance as possible.
      Personally, I prefer the FG or GT knot for that application but some people have good luck with an Albright too.
