Hi, in this video I am going do water test of Samsung Galaxy A53 5G to check is it water resistant or not. There is IP67 Rating of Galaxy A53.

I have the A53 phone and it fell in the toilet bowl by mistake, I quickly took it out and towel dry it. I had not too long bought it so I was scared it would've been damage but to my surprised it still works, preferably well and good, I'm using it right now to type this comment.🙂

I got it for more than a year and tried submerging it in the river again (less than 2ft.) and it died, after sending it to the repair shop the technician noticed that the back cover was not properly sealed anymore. the glue loosens over time, so check that always everyone. (before it worked like a charm underwater but over time the back cover glue is becoming weak and loosen bits by bits)

I have 1.5 years old and its back cover is coming off, the glue is bad. I never submerged it in water. It is not because of the battery, the battery is perfect.

Don't worry it's water resistant. But you don't need to put it in water just for fun. If it accidentally drops then you don't need to worry about anything.

Mine says it has detected moisture or foreign material at the charging port/USB so I should plug my charger. This has been my problem for the past 4 days .....any help?

That notification also popped up, I was worried too, so I shook it to try to take the water out, and after 15 min or more, the notification disappeared. It has been 2 times since this happened, and both times, I really haven't put it too deep in the water bcos I am scared it might stop working 😅.
Maybe if you use a hair dryer to dry the USB port, it might work 🤷‍♀️

Don't use a hairdryer! The heat will damage components. I just dropped mine in the toilet roughly 2 hours ago. I pulled it out, dried it off, took off the waterproof case and dried that, phone was working fine except it wouldn't charge, the warning appeared. So I put it in front of a fan for about half an hour and when I had to leave I gently blew air into the port with my mouth, making sure to not spit in it. It's now charging with no warning.

Glues or sealants are loosened over time. So, if your phone is brand new, then yes, you can submerge it underwater.

Dropped my a53 5g in bathtub accidently and it was there for about 10 seconds and took it out and works without any problem thanks to its IP67 Rating

Stupid phones A53/54, I immersed it for less than 30 seconds and it stopped working for a while.
Not a real waterproof phone. Still useful for wet conditions.
