Tesla became a new profitable IPO opportunity today. Wall Street cannot figure it out.
Like Jeff I was also wondering about supply chain constraints on bot production when Musk talks about 5-10xing per year. And like Jeff pointed out the ability for countries to allow labor dislocation at that rate is problematic. We're not talking about smart phones or other related products in terms of historical market growth. I think the countries whose governments allow a high rate of bot acceptance will be those with the lowest birth rates and growing rates of an elderly demographic, South Korea and Japan come to mind. In addition, countries with high rates of foreign workers will want bots to replace the foreign workers, Saudi Arabia and some other oil rich middle east countries come to mind. Countries that are pushing to preserve their cultural heritage and minimize inter-cultural conflict will also want bots to help moderate the rate of immigration. Countries like India with an excess of human labor will probably slow bot imports like they have slowed the import of advanced farming equipment.
Countries with strong labor unions will push against bots unless they are taxed at a high rate to pay the displaced workers, perhaps Sweden. It may be difficult to Tesla to use bots in the Berlin factory with both the unions and the German car companies lobbying against it because of the COGS advantage for Tesla.
On the plus side a person starting a small company will want to start with bots (probably renting them) to handle most of the manual labor needs and avoid all the difficulty of hiring people and the related government rules, regulations and paper work needed for human workers. And if the company goes out of business they just return the rental or sell the bot if purchased. So think of all the new small companies bots will help facilitate.
EVERY country will want bots because it is straight-up prosperity. You solve the income problem with UBI, not rejection of bots that are going to grow your GDP like crazy. Adoption of bots will literally determine the power of nations in the near future.

I don't think purchasing FSD on a car with HW3 for $8k will increase the sell value by the same amount. Especially if you sell soon. When FSD and CyberCabs hit some kind of critical mass, when the general public understands, that might be a different story. For now, $8k for FSD if you're selling the car may not be worth it.
It's worth it IF you're interested in putting your older hardware 3 car into Cybercab fleet to earn $.

@ One time deal? You only need the upgraded hardware one time. If you mean we have to act fast, then I don't think so. Keep in mind, the hardware upgrade might cost Tesla $500- $1000. Even if double that, they get $8000.00 from the customer for FSD. No reason to limit when the offer is. I'm guessing they will also offer it to anyone buying a used M3 with HW3 as well. Of course, I could be 100% wrong.
Would it be possible for Elon to insert the Tesla Bot somehow into the government since he's responsible of DOGE ? 🤔🫣🫨
