- I decided to give my verus cell phone mining farm a massive update. Lowering the heat, lowering the electricity and higher megahash was my goal. I was very happy with the results.

Where do you get your phones at? Maybe you can send a link
i watched yours and PAgerClip video, and yes , hashrate went up compared to VerusMiner, perhaps, with verus Miner i could have the phones with screen off, and they woudl still Hash, but with CCminer is screen goes off, hashing is gone. I do need to run the phones with screen off at times, as in order to preserve batteries I use a timer to turn on and off the charge throughout the day
You know I have mine set in developer options to "always on" but once I get them mining I can click the button to turn the screens off. I haven't tested whether it to change the "always on" to off and see if it still mines.
The screen hold from userland I think keeps it mining even if the screen is off. Ill mess around with it and see. As for mow mine are running smooth. How many phones do you have?
@@euclidmining yes " always on" in developer options work when carger is plugged, so in order to prevent battery damage , i have a timer to power on an off the charging station. when not in charge, the phones go " screen off", when that happen, the CCminer lose connectivity, and hashrate collapse. I have about 20 phones, some still running on verus miner . now testing CCminer, but the screen off issue, not nice, yet oit gives more hashrate but will dmaage the battery faster , and to replace a battery will cost money. that is why i have a timer, to extend the battery life cycle. let me know how it goes for you
In userland once you have it running do you do the screen hold? That will keep it running in the background even when the screen turns off. To find it on my phone I just swipe down like I am turning on my Wi-Fi and in the notification section and asks you if you want to enable the screen hold. Let me know.
@ yep , I do that , but only 1 phone keeps hashing even when wake lock acquired
You do NOT have to activate the Orbics - you can use a formerly activated Verizon SIM - the same SIM - one time in each phone and that's it. I bought several hundred from the same guy - and 1 used Verizon SIM off ebay for $7.
I have a good understanding of hardware but did not know all the little extras when it came to cell phone mining. I've been learning a lot and this is definitely something new. I still have my SIM card from when I activated my phones. Do you think that'll work again even though now the SIM card is not active?
I appreciate the extra info.
💯
Thanks. Like your channel too. Liked and subscribed. :)
Samsung Galaxy A14 5g are about $39 @walmart 4.80 mh/s, I bet setting it up your way it would a higher mh
I have found the opposite to be true. I have 12 phones currently mining and found that when they were running ccminer, they were unstable and needed to be restarted a lot. Running the Verus Miner apk I haven't had to restart or babysit any of them. They're all happy doing their thing with decent hashrates.
@@scud69er how much hash
@@freyafoxmusic In total? I'm averaging around 80MH/s at the moment but that includes not only phones but Orange pi's and an Odroid. That's over a total of 21 devices.
Same, I have phones running Verus miner. Only have 1 that restarts every 3 days. But others are perfect.
@@dy2_str33t_king I've since grown my farm to over double the size of my original comment but using SBCs. Mainly Orange Pis. They run perfectly with no interaction whatsoever. You can set them to auto-start mining if the power cuts etc (which has happened once since) and they fire back up and carry on doing their thing. They need Micro SDs and take a little more time to setup but definitely a better way to go I think. Just for reference, I had never used an SBC before this or any Linux or programming knowledge, the guides online are very easy to follow.
Is Verus Mining worthwhile? Can you make a video on how to exchange your Verus Coin for other coins and where?
I can and that's a great idea for a video. Ill put one together this week. :)
I was able to activate OJ phones with basic $5 Verizon SIM card, after startup and 15 minute wait, it will say card is not activated, but I arrived back and was able to connect to WiFiand download Userland and reuse SIM card on next phone.
I bought SIM card at Walmart.
I had 2 sim cards and neither would do it. It would say this might take 15 min... but it always came back no service plan or something like that. Would have been nice to save the 30 bucks. :)
That's where I bought mine too.
Do you have a link to the DOK charger shelf?
Ill be honest, I don't like to give ebay referrals only because they may or may not be an established vendor. Though the guy I've bought from asks $23 and I offer $20. If ya find him it's on you. :)
Can u atleast give a keyword for the search of that kind of DOK?
