Couple of things. Why can you OC with a regular PSU and have melting problems with the server psu. Voltage. The standard PSU puts out 19 - 19.5 volts while the server PSU puts out 12 volts. Back to HS Physics, Ohms law. It takes more watts to get the same amps the lower the voltage is. So the 12v psu uses a lot more watts to get the same power throughput as a 19.5 volt psu,which leads to heat, which leads to melting the center of the barrel plug out. Moral of the story I tried a 6 pin adapter, melted my 6 pin on the board and will never do a server PSU again. I got one of the drok PSU's you can connect up to 3 machines to. 2nd, if you need it repaired, look at @crypto440 I saw his videos, contacted him, and sent him my miner and he fixed it cheaply and quickly. I saved a lot of money by taking the motherboard out and just shipping him the mobo. I tried removing the barrel jack and replacing it myself, but it uses hi temp solder and I couldn't get it off. Waching @crypto440's video, it's a case of the correct tool for the job! There's a video of the incident and repair on my channel. Please don't use 6 pin cables on your KS0's, AL0's or RX0's.

Sorry for your troubles. The barrel plug ends might be a little too loose inside the receptacle end pin, which would cause a bad connection and extreme heat under load. I hope you get it all fixed up!

That's why I don't like overclocking all sorts of things can happen. completely open it up and have a look at that.

Sorry to hear about your cable issues. I had a Veteran V1 cable that melted but fortunately didn't damage my KS0 Pro. They replaced it with a V2 cable and it worked fine. I went ahead and replaced 3 others with V2 cables just to be safe. I did not overclock my units as Veteran Miner said it would void the warranty and the barrel connector could not handle the extra load. Hope you can get the units fixed. Good luck.

It's a long story but i have four of the these (Ultras) brand new in box that have been STUCK in another location since they arrived in the USA for the last 9 months (at about 299 each) with only 2 additional operating rn. It has been such a hassle. (and heart breaking) I'll finally get them in the next few days. Part of me knows selling them is probably the right move BUT I essentially have free power so it's a tough call. Thinking about solo mining all of them for a hail mary. The 2 of 6 I have actually up and running have (also^) hit 3 blocks this month. I really do like tinkering with these damn things too. Any thoughts?

I have everything set up. It 'works' but no pools register that I'm mining. I don't get any movement about accepted blocks. Just constant New block detected ever ~15 minutes on Kryptex pools. On the public pool you referred I get "stratum from pool 0 requested work restart' I left it running for hours and it never changed... I'll try a few other pools, but I'm not sure what the issue is. I'll add, that I have 7 bit erupters and 1x Antminer U1 going. They're all picked up by cgminer and display hash rates, so I know that's not the issue.

Which mining tool can I use for poolin

i watched yours and PAgerClip video, and yes , hashrate went up compared to VerusMiner, perhaps, with verus Miner i could have the phones with screen off, and they woudl still Hash, but with CCminer is screen goes off, hashing is gone. I do need to run the phones with screen off at times, as in order to preserve batteries I use a timer to turn on and off the charge throughout the day

Are you going to try hardwiring the phones to bypass the batteries?

I have found the opposite to be true. I have 12 phones currently mining and found that when they were running ccminer, they were unstable and needed to be restarted a lot. Running the Verus Miner apk I haven't had to restart or babysit any of them. They're all happy doing their thing with decent hashrates.

You do NOT have to activate the Orbics - you can use a formerly activated Verizon SIM - the same SIM - one time in each phone and that's it. I bought several hundred from the same guy - and 1 used Verizon SIM off ebay for $7.
