Some people might say we aren't true off gridders... well off grid means not using or depending on public utilities, especially the supply of electricity. Of course you have to do what is best within your budget... but laundry was very important to us. Want to know what we are going to do in the winter? Subscribe to find out!
You know... laundry has always been something intimidating for me when thinking about off grid living. So seeing it being done in a way that feels like it's on the grid ... actually make me think that off grid living can have it's comforts... thank you for being transparent.. this was super helpful... looking forward to the Well video!! 😊

Thumbs up for all of these off the grid videos. This is so much more interesting than the tv shows that are out there. Keep them coming! As a child I hand washed many items & put them on the clothes line. Old school Jamaican parents made sure I was taught this way. We used the washer sparingly. 🌻
This is great & actually very relatable to see- if I ever think of going off grid, I would need something very similar to this set up. I liked how detailed you guys were at explaining & showing things!

Big fan of your videos, waiting for the next! I have a question regarding the solar set-up. I saw you brought the panels up in your trailer and then installed them yourself, but where did you source them? Did you buy a package complete with the inverter and batteries? What kind of budget should I expect to do the same thing? Some online solar supplier's prices are a lot more expensive than I would have guessed. Any help would be appreciated. Happy Off-gridding!!
Thanks for your comment! We've been MIA because we got robbed recently :( But we will be back in the next coming weeks and explain where we have been and what happened! We are going to have a video all about solar ... where we bought it, cost, setting it up etc etc. And of course we will definitely let you know how much we paid and prices, what to look for.... and yes we installed it ourselves! Here in the UK we only have cold fill appliances as they heat the water according to the programme selected, saves money as youre not using water frrom the hot water tank. Im surprised it's not the same in Canada or the US.
That's interesting... do your machines run on propane or natural gas or just on electricity?
@@OffGridWithGinaThi Domestic appliances are electric, apart from cookers, you can opt for gas with them. Boilers can also be gas, electric or oil. Enjoying your channel, had to start at the beginning. Canada is a beautiful country.
