Sir, you are MDS then MD and then MOMSR.
Now, you have your hospital. And, I can say one of its kind Indian Hospital for Dental Surgeons.
Plain MDS in oral surgery cannot do Rhinoplasty, Lefort fractures, cleft lip and palate surgeries, Oral cancer treatment.
It's just because we are not trained in that way in India even after paying 50 lac for 3 years.😁😁
I agree Head and Neck anatomy is ours..but, the faculties in colleges don't know these major surgeries then, how can they teach us out there!
I was searching this also..whether we are eligible for MD in our DCI curriculum.

Dentistry/Dental Surgery was a speciality of medicine known as Stomatology in most European countries like France Austria Portugal Spain Italy and Russia. It got separated in in USA and UK in the 19th century and rest of the world followed. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a subspecialty within Dental surgery.

Wrong mam.....be it girl or boy, there is no hurdle in surgery....i have many lady doctors as my seniors and teachers who are excellent surgeons....very dedicated and passionate in their field.
But yes training is absolutely demanding and exhausting depending upon the institute we get trained in.
