I Represented my Country at an International Cosplay Competition | Art to Play Before Christmas

About a month or so ago I was told that I was accepted to go to Nantes, France to represent Australia in the Art to Play Before Christmas Cosplay Competition. I pulled out Christine Daae's Star Princess Dress from the Broadway version of Phantom of the Opera - a dress I made back in 2019.

And then a skit was formed (thank you @HazarielAtelier for your translation and voice overs)... AND OFF I WENT!

As a game, count how many times in this vlog I say "amazing" - but really, it was the best word to describe the whole weekend for me. It was in short, one of the best experiences of my life.

The response from the crowd was amazing! Congrats times 100! All your hard work recognized.
It was overwhelming in the best way possible. I think I cried with happiness on stage when taking my photos after the performance

It was an absolute honour to meet you. You were so kind and lovely, thank you. I was so worried that people would ignore me because I couldn’t speak French (which would absolutely be fair in my opinion) - I never imagined that I would meet people like yourself who spoke English and even were aware of my work. I cry every time I go to a cosplay competition where I'm competing or not. I just get so emotional about all of the love everyone has put into their costumes, the incredible energy of the crowd, the anxiety of the competition... I love it but it's A LOT lol!
I feel that very much in my heart. There are some very special moments always created in competitions.

Okay I ain't crying, you are-
Seriously, i think I'll just get myself repeated for ever, but you were such an AMAZING person and guest. I think I'm never gonna get over the insane amount of love all of us had this weekend. I am glad I got to work with y'all during this year's Art To Play, even though I mostly felt blessed I got to meet all of you as the persons you were and are. You all are full of passion for what you do, and full of humanity. I've been experiencing a lot of bad feelings for the past months and spending two / three days with you folks was a true blessing. Thanks a million times for being yourself mate, and also for stressing the work that the staff does (because it's often quite hidden or forgotten by a lot of people). That's what makes us like that work although it's benevolent. Thanks for giving what we do meaning.
I truely hope we can meet again, and if you ever come back to Nantes, you'll have somewhere to stay for free ! Please take care Kirilee !
P.S. : I'm simply sad that we did not take a pic of a versus between Pikachu and Jigglypuff haha ; we'll have to do it next time >:D

This is amazing! Super big congrats on placing 3rd! I would love to apply for Art2Play in the future. I highly doubt I would even make it through the application stage though. I was mega hyped there was an idol cosplayer on that lineup too. The source materials were all really varied.
