Hi Michel. I bought an old smiths altimeter off a DC10 online and took it apart. I noticed a strong smell upon taking it apart. Is it old grease breaking down or some phenolic components inside? Hopefully it wasnt toxic. Could you shed some light on how you tackle disassembly?

8:55: In the cockpit you hear: "Altitude too high.. Decend! Decend now !!!"
