Hey Dan. If I have a sport class license do I need to get a float plane endorsement to fly LSAs like the A5?

The sport pilot rule allows anyone who wants a seaplane rating to do it with five or so hours of training and then an endorsement from an evaluating CFI.

That's a lot of money for a fabric wing. Same with carbon cub. To much money for lsa. That's why I'm choosing to build ultralight.
