- Do you wish you could escape to a cozy mountain cabin in the woods and write all day while basking in the beauty of autumn? If so, this immersive writing session is for you. This calming, distraction-free, 2-hour writing session will transport you to a cozy woodland cabin surrounded by autumn trees and the gentle sounds of a crackling fire and birdsongs. Start the day with a cup of tea in the kitchen, listen to the sounds of nature on the front porch, then curl up by the fire as an afternoon thunderstorm moves in with nightfall. We'll use the pomodoro method and do 4 writing sprints (25 minutes + 5 minute breaks in between.) This writing session is designed to inspire creativity and deep focus... Ready to write? Let's get started!

I loved the thunderstorms rolling in - it felt like a nice reward for all my hard writing.
A new immersive writing soundtrack? Cabin in the woods???? AAAAAAAAHHH!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
How do you make these? I would love a tutorial!
I assume she finds free stock videos and adds non-copywrite music in the back. Download the free videos, and download the music. Import the video into any video editing software. Then add the music as either an overlay or just extract the audio and put it over the video. Hope this helps.
i think she made a video about that, what you are asking about.

@@stinkthedog1396I came here to say this.
@@stinkthedog1396 the timer ?
i'm actually obsessed with these videos i need like 20 more of them 😅
I haven't written a short story in so many years. This is the first time that I've tried an immersive writing session, and I was able to rip out 7 really solid pages without any advanced planning of what the story would be. The plot, characters, the setting and the subtext were all harmonizing. I've had a horrible month and it was so therapeutic to be able to sit down and just let the story flow. Thank you!!!
Well that was really lovely. Glad to have seen the notification!
I LOVE THESE PLAYLISTS SO MUCH 🙌🙌🙌
This is my favorite one out of all your immersive writing sessions. A cabin or a treehouse are my favs for ambience. Would love to see an immersive writing session of a cabin in the woods during winter when a snowstorm hits.
same
It looks beautiful and peaceful. I would love to be there on the porch reading or thinking about ideas for stories to write. Have a wonderful day, Abbie and Kate.
I think this is my favourite one so far. I love how each writing sprint has a different location. 🍁🍂🍄🔥
Not only are you a fantastic Author, but also a stunning channel creator!
You whole introduction in here was so welcoming and fresh!
The music Playlist, is top knotch relaxation and with the beautiful bedroom scenery is the cherry on the top! 🎉🎉❤❤
Oh, how wonderful!! Thank you!!
Love these Abbie ♥️ thank you
OMG I was so waiting for this. your immersive writing sessions are the best. They always help me focus and be more productive. Thank you so much. I hope you keep making more ^^
Oooo this is gonna be so good!! 🍂
I love these - and they work really well for poetry - and delighted to have one with a fire. I had been using the Christmas one but this is working wonderful ❤❤
Abbie, I don't know where you gets these or if you make them, but I sure love them. They are great company when I'm writing. This one is my favourite so far. Thank you for sharing them.
This was just what I needed. It’s my first time here but I can assure you it won’t be my last. Thanks Abbie.
This is the coziest environment to write in everrr😍
this is cozy perfection 😊🍂🧡
This video is absolutely fascinating! The concept of writing in a cozy autumn cabin in the woods with fall ambiance and timers is truly captivating. It's amazing how the combination of nature sounds, crackling fire, and the pomodoro method can enhance focus and creativity. The immersive experience created by Abbie Emmons is truly unique and inspiring. I can't help but feel a sense of fascination and excitement about the idea of escaping to a woodland cabin and immersing myself in the beauty of autumn while writing. The suggested playlists for cozy autumn music are a fantastic addition, as they add another layer of ambiance to the writing session. Thank you, Abbie Emmons, for sharing this fascinating video and providing such valuable resources for writers. I'm truly intrigued and can't wait to give this immersive writing session a try. Keep up the fantastic work!
I can't thank you enough for this! While writing is the original purpose, I've started listening to these while studying and working on assignments and the passion of writing my stories has magically been carried over to studying calculus, physics, and navigating the endless frustrations of computer programming. It's helped me to enjoy learning these things much more than I already did while also maintaining my energy for my writing side projects. Thank you!
This is beautiful and just what I needed to finally get started on my WIP that's been sitting in the folder collecting dust all these years thanks for this!
I adore session two with the teacup/coffee sounds!
It’s so cozy to listen to this and write a book🥰
As usual, fanTASTIC job on this!!! I absolutely adore your immersive writing sessions. I get my best writing done while listening to them. I find that the breaks either give me an opportunity to step back and think about what I'm writing, or they interrupt a really good sprint and make me even MORE excited to get back into it! I think this one is particularly unique in it being just ambience, but then providing a few different options for playlists to play alongside it. Very clever! Thank you so much for this very useful and inspiring tool!
I didnt know there were breaks put into this oh my god i love you
This was perfect for starting to outline my novel for NaNoWriMo. Thanks!
Oh this is my new favourite one! 😍🥰 the autumn vibes in this are amazing 🧡🍂 your writing sprints have helped me write so much these past two weeks - thank you so much!
Love having an autumn one. Thanks for also providing music playlists for those that want music as well! The playlists has such wonderful songs.
Cant wait for the preptober videoa!
Thank you so much for sharing this and the Spotify playlists! 🥰 I’ve listened to the train writing session countless of times 🥰
I just completed this video and can i just say WOW. i am notorious for getting distracted while i'm trying to write. i could not tell you how many times i've sat down with my laptop and a coffee and told myself i was going to write if for just an hour, only to find myself distracted by something after only writing a few sentences. but something about this really kept me on track. the nice atmosphere and soft background noise really helped keep my mind focused on my task. i was actually VERY productive! i can't believe i just wrote for 2 hours straight lol. thank you so much for making this! it was incredibly helpful and i can't wait to try the others!
Thank you for making this, it’s perfect for helping to set the fall the mood.
I need so many more of these. Please, please keep them coming. They're the only thing that helps me write these days! Love these. The train one is my favorite but this one has become a very close second. Love them all!
Lovely, wonderfull.
Really thankful that you have made these videos! They are really helping me pace myself with writing when there is no one else in my discord to do writing sprints with. Thank you so much again!
I love this one! would Love to see more like this-- i love that its without music so that I can either pick my own or have silence
Favorite writing session so far😁❤️
This is exactly what I was waiting for! It's so perfect, thank you 😊
I love these so much, I use them while coding as well
So inspiring! I started listening to this and the muse whispered in my ear.
I just want to say, while I love all of your videos, I really wish you made more of these! They are my absolute favorite thing to have playing while writing. I set up my iPad and have it on the side while I put Scrivener in composition mode. They make me so focused. PLEASE make more!!!!! :)
This is perfect! Much of my book takes place at a cabin!
Loved the first one I found. Looing forward to this one. So seasonal and cozy. I am using them for the paying job (also writing) and they really help!
I think the last room with the fireplace and armchair was my favorite. But this was all really effective for me. I wasn't able to do this live (right in the middle of my work day), and things came up to keep me busy until today, but I added 3k words to my current WIP (not my NaNo project, that's a whole different idea that I'm going to be writing). Definitely going to have to revisit this video in November a few times! Thanks!
I love the theme, but the birds are SO loud. Appreciate the links to the playlists though!
So stoked!! This is so inspiring! I wish I could leave for a beautiful weekend in a cabin in autumn woods like this
These writing sessions help me with writing so much! Can you please do a school hallway one, or a school classroom? I write Academia books quite often so it’ll best fit the atmosphere of my story and a bunch of other Academia writers’.
Thank you so much Abbie for making these! This really helps me write and keep myself from not burning out while also getting the most done. This and everything else you've created for this channel to help inspire other writers is amazing. Again, thank you!
Abbie, this is incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for putting this together. I am definitely going to use this in this coming NaNoWriMo
Yay! I was hoping to get another one of these from you soon! Thank you! 🥰
Abbie, this is great and just what I'm looking for!
amazing
Gorgeous! How do you even make these? Is it like, actual footage or AI or something?
Am I the only person who uses this for studying? This greatly aids me to focus on my studies. Thank you for putting together these Immersive Writing Sessions. My favorite is the train ride. Is it OK to ask if you could do a school setting with dark academia vibes?
This one is my favorite because it has no music. I love the sounds of nature, but I often find music distracting.
I don't know if I want to do NaNoWriMo this year or should I keep studying writing - to get better - and then write...😢
The best way to “study” writing is to write a book.
Putting off projects make them seem like they are more difficult than they are.
Follow your inspiration.
You will learn SO much about your writing habits, style, subconscious ability to let ideas flow with NaNo challenge. Just do it!
Abbie can you please make a series about creating & publishing graphic novels/comics
Hi Abbie, I would like you to create a video on how to write a romance story about transforming revenge into love. Even though I have attempted to write about it, I still appreciate your lessons and would love to see your take on the subject. Thank you in advance, Abbie.
O.T. I think that sooner or later we'll have to talk about Fonts for books!. Thanks in advance!
Fantastic. This will help with my novel writing session. I have a question for everyone. The prologue chapter is titled 'Innocence'. Does that sound good or not? For context, it takes place during my protagonists childhood where they are exiled and flee their homeland due to antagonist.
The young version of my protagonist is supposed to resemble young Jill Warrick from Final Fantasy XVI
Sounds great!
@@zapacunotres59 My novel is essentially a villain origin story, since my MC goes from an innocent young girl to a self serving anti heroine to a villain protagonist by the end of the book
😊 thanks Abbie, got off to a rough start but surprisingly ended with a total of 1001 words, a new record!😮
I love that chapter name ‘Innocence’
Like idk if you’re implying this but to me it feels like this was the stage when the character was young and free of worries
Innocent to the badness but then things changed and they lost that innocence. Foreshadowing there as well.
Idk if this is what u meant but that chapter name I great anyways 😊
Can you give some tips, how to be consistent in writing? As I'm a webnovel writer, I have to write everyday. Sometimes I get stuck.. what to write now.. and then the flow breaks. Please Abbie 🥺😩
OMG, I totally feel you, buddy!
Writing web novels can be a struggle sometimes, right? 😅
Here are some tips that might help you out:
- Set a daily word count goal 📝🗓️
- Create an outline for your story 📖✍️
- Avoid distractions and find your writing zen 🧘♂️🚫📱
- Use prompts when you're stuck 🤔🔄
Remember, first draft, then edit later! ✏️🚫🔍
Hope this helps you keep those web novel vibes flowing! 🌟✨🙂
@@theauthorgodswill Yup! Thanks mate🥺✨
@@sejallendhare9542 we are in this together 😉
You're Welcome 🤗
Can you do a Christmas one with mostly sound effects like this one?
Oh my word this is awesome, how do you make these? I'd love to know
I wanted one for horror but that's ok😊
One for cyberpunk would be great too
You should check out some of the past ones. I remember a "Haunted Victorian Mansion during a thunderstorm" that might fit the bill for horror.
Omg is this Vermont?
I have a question about writing characters. I am new to being a writer and I bought your Character Profile Template pack. So I finished filling out my protagonist one and now I’m on a foil character. And I was wondering am I supposed to fill out their internal conflicts, advanced Charater development, and Character Goals? Or should I only just fill out the relationship’s & conflicts? If anyone has an answer, it would be greatly appreciated! :)
Also does my side character’s internal conflict have to do with the overall theme of my story?
Can we have a rainy day in an 1800s small town?🥺
Im not sure I did it correctly, but I wrote whatever came to my mind XD even if it was mumbo jumbo XD
yeah sounds about right most of my outlining is one big run one sentence which i later convert into a bullet point leist with little to no regard for story structure (sorry abbie lol)
I have a question. I get so distracted when writing and when I try to write I know what it’s going to be about I just can’t write in a novel form if that makes sense I look at my screen and don’t know how to write it the novel way. I know that probably means I need to read more or get lessons I’m getting lessons I have a tutor and a writing program but it still doesn’t help me I’m always stuck on how to write it. Does anyone have any tips for me?
Practice, practice, practice. Refine and home your techniques. That's all you can really do
Maybe look up guides on how to format novels, as well as look at other books to see what the formatting conventions are too
When I get my ideas I always think in the present tense so my scene drafts and plot outlines look like a script for a documentary rather than book chapters. It starts feeling more like a novel once I'm using the intended tense/perspective/voice though.
But I'm still drafting ,so no expert either. In fact I only just started inserting dialogue into my draft very recently.
I you feel stuck or like you said when you look at screen you forgot how to write like novel. Then, try to write on a copy with a pen. It will probably help.
You can draft it on copy and then give a final touch on your Pc or laptop.
I myself use this technique.
Do you have to be a good verbal communicator to be a good writer?
How about a writing session where you are at a circus it's all fun at first but the longer you stay there the more something seems off
it makes me want cookies
hello! i don't know if you notice this comment. i'm a very young writtter, 11 years old... so i had a fantasy idea of the book i'm writting. if your willing to read the first sentance... can you please write a opinion about it.. where should i post it? love from india, thank you for helping in my bizzare writter's journey.
can i live here pls?
Honestly, this one I don't like as much as your others. I miss the background music, and I had to crank the volume to hear the ambience sounds. The sprints sound too much like the breaks to be distinct, and they were a little too chill to help me personally.
The concept is beautiful, and I like the transitions and the progressions, and I still had a successful writing session, but I prefer the musical energy in some of your other videos.
Even so, this one is better than a pomodoro I tried from another youtuber the other day.
