  • Finally after two years of dreaming, fundraising, and waiting, Berm Park is officially under construction! To build a public mountain bike park has been the subject of our Patreon page since 2019. We didn't know how we would do it or where it would be built, but piece by piece it came together. Now, with a combination of funding from Patrons and outside sponsors, we're building Berm Park in Canton, NC, USA within a larger park to be called "Chestnut Mountain Park".
The first trail completed was "On the Fly", by Diamondback Bicycles. Check out the line of hard tail mountain bikes the trail is named after here www.diamondbac...

Seth has been able to connect with millions of people who mountain bike and get many more into it because of his exceptionally well made content that's approachable and fun to watch for everyone. He's given kids new bikes and helped found a public bike park, I could careless if he won every Redbull Rampage every UCI world cup or Sea Otter he just rides his damn bike and helps his local mountain biking community in profound positive ways. Just love it Seth, everyone's going to love it but most importantly you're giving kids something to do thats outside and in nature. What a great contribution. May sound a bit ridiculous but this kind of stuff saves lives.

It's been fun to watch this story and journey progress. Awesome to see trails built and a sneak peak into what some of it will be like. You're doing a lot for the sport of mountain biking and helping people access cool trails.

This is awesome! I've been going to Canton for almost 30 years to see my grandparents who live there so now I have extra reason to drive up from Greensboro. Now someone REALLY needs to buy Ghost Town in The Sky and turn it into a downhill park. The chair lifts are already there!

As a former Resident Engineer on very large scale environmental remediation projects, I have a professional suggestion: On your finished trails with all of their final adjustments made, you should add a spray on fixative to lock the soil in place and provide much better resistance to trail wear and erosion. There are several commercially available products, each water based and approved by the EPA for use (but check with your state's ecology department). Here's a list of fixatives I've used in the past, in order of preference: Midwest Soil Sement, AgriGator Terra-Bond, Polo Dust Con, Duru Soil, and D&D Emulsions Dust Bond.
