I’m 25 and really haven’t gotten my life started at all and just seeing this is devastating. How much time I’ve wasted on my addictions and I could be on my death bed tomorrow, or if I was supposed to die at 24 I’d beg for another year of my life for a chance to live it out as best as I can. Fuck what is wrong with me…

There's a strange kind of sadness in knowing that some deeply personal items like the letter and those old photos are tucked away in some dusty, lonely corner of a building that will in all likelihood be demolished, and the remnants of all the memories held there will be swept away. But thanks to your efforts, maybe they won't truly be gone.

What a beautiful Church. What a shame it’s been abandoned. With its history, it should have been deemed Historical. Here in Canada 🇨🇦 Historical buildings have to be kept to it’s integrity, not left abandoned. The City would have to make sure it’s well kept!! Those Bibles are so amazing, can’t believe they were left behind, sad so very sad😢😢. Merry Christmas 🎄 stay safe and healthy too! 😊🎄🎅🤶🎁

You where meant to find that letter and give it life with your voice for us to hear.
Because of that Mary Miller will never be forgotten. You should feel very honoured that Mary choose you to find it. With your compassion and respect that you show with everything you find, Mary chose the perfect one to read her letter to us. RIP Dear Mary Miller.
I had an experience in a very old and abandoned cemetery heavily overgrown. Something stopped me and I looked behind overgrowth to see a headstone and it was a Mary as well. That day I found her was her birthday although about 150 years ago. And she was young. Standing there I felt sad she is forgotten and I wished her Happy Birthday. As long as I live she will be remembered and she chose me to do that.
I think you should rename this to 'The letter of Mary Miller'

13:00- the 1949 letter from Mary 😢😢😢: 14:41- the large Bible is regrettably irreversibly damaged as the binding is completely destroyed and hinges destroyed front cover is torn off some of those 1890
titles are written by scholars and quite valuable I wish I was there with you . The world book encyclopedias are for beginners but perfect for a school or public housing library.

I hope you know that you have great talent. The way you record the video, presentation, tell the story.. your gentle voice, and classy nature, etc. I look forward to, and appreciate your work.
I could've spent hours going through those books, and that letter.. they are history, and deserve a place to be displayed in a local museum, possibly. I hope you inquire about it.. wouldn't hurt to see if anyone would be interested.
Thanks for all you share with us!
    Merry Christmas! ❤

First off that letter brought me to tears. I can't even think about it because the emotions are so hard core and that was the year my mom was born. Also those books are masterpieces. Imagine the true history in those books. That's a treasure trove!
33:28 sounded like a voice said something when you said "you can feel the floor bending"
Geez those monitors, I hate to say, I remember them, the thing next to the monitor is a screen protector. Everyone used them to protect their eyes from the rays of the screen.
    Happy New Year!!! 🥰

It's hard to comprehend how such architecturally beautiful and culturally significant buildings are left to ruin. If it is ultimately not renovated and torn down I hope at a minimum some of the contents, such as the books can be rescued and preserved. I also hope that whatever may take it's place - the proposed community center or a park - will commemorate the events that took place here. As always, your filming and editing is on point and just spectacular. BTW, the leather strap with the pouch is a belt for carrying flagpoles during ceremonies and parades.

You did that letter justice...It's sad to see it just remaining in a book in a dilapidated church, abandoned to the elements.
All those books, to see knowledge that was once such a precious commodity hundreds of years ago not even worth relocating. Going through those rooms, all those memories and experiences in each one, and the main auditorium...Truly sad to see such a beautiful building and all its accomplishments and accumulated energy go to waste.

Beautiful filming, editing and narration, thanks, Urbex!
I am also subscribed to the channel The Proper People, two guys who document abandoned buildings before they are demolished.
It's interesting how many places the owners have just left personal effects behind, like journals, photos, books, patient logs, etc.
Here in Denmark I think it is required by law to clear out your building, before leaving, but it seems that is not the case in the USA.

Well you paid a wonderful tribute to this church.. How sad with such an amazing history that it is left to fall within itself.. When I lived in England it was amazing how we looked after things of historic value but now I'm in Turkey you can only imagine the history this place has and again they don't treasure its historic treasures like they should do and its heartbreaking it really is.. You did this place a beautiful justice with this video and I loved every second of it. Happy holidays to you and left hope 2023 brings some of your amazing adventures again.
