- Don't take this seriously, this was made out of curiosity. I'm a big Bon Jovi fan and I was wondering how it would sound like if I raised the pitch in You Give Love a Bad Name and Livin' on a Prayer since they are played half step lower (also, It's My Life was cut out of the final broadcast for some reason).
This shaves 20 year's of Jon's voice
I've always loved how much energy they have when they perform, and the half step up that this is tuned actually makes it sound amazing IMO.
He sounds pretty good in the original tune!!

People in different continents love Bon Jovi as it is. All these expect comments are useless. To us what matters is the songs and the voice. That's what made us love Bon Jovi. They have/ had a unique sounds. Jon's voice was that strong unique tool that made them different. Emotional, soulful voice.

Jessica yeah that’s true I guess. But I don’t know though. If Jon was having a good day, and he was warmed up and didn’t have to raise his voice at all that day, it might be possible. Even if he just hit the notes and didn’t scream it
Lukas Williamson I cant quiet work out what’s wrong with his voice though. It sounds very “nasally” if you get me. Sounds like he’s squeezing his nose while he’s singing. It’s like he’s got no air in his lungs to push out the notes. I don’t get it. I think he could get help and techniques to improve his voice if he wanted to
Jessica well he used bad technique at the start of his career. Plus he drank a lot. Pretty sure he smoked too. That’s probably part of the issue.
@@higashikatajosuke5704 oh I’m not saying he’s bad by any stretch. I think he’s actually decently good for his age and what he’s done to his body. But if he had taken better care of himself in the early days he might be able to do the versions you just posted

It’s modified and pitched up a half step to the original tuning they played in 1983-1987
Ever since 1988-present they’ve been playing in e flat so this originally was played live a half step down

I thiink in Moscow 1989 Prayer was performed in the original key. in that concert jon sang the whole chorus.

@@marshallhoang4620 I’m aware the tube through the slippery when wet tour was all tuned in e standard but realize in 1987 that’s when Jon had serious vocal issues especially from over singing and not stopping because at that era they were at the top of the charts
Original key 1986,,1987,1988 - after this only 1992 (Time from MTV show)
They did use pitch correct at this event. Theres youtube videos on it.
I never said they didn't. I just adjusted the live performance from Eb to E Standard
@higashikatajosuke5704 no, I know that. Just there's people here who believe because you adjusted it to normal pitch it made Jon's voice better, but it was the auto tune jons production did.

Its best if he still used the kind or style of clothes that he used when he was young not a suit
Well this was a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction and performance so it’s appropriate for a suit to be worn at a ceremony like that

Okay, so John's singing was terrible, but you have to look at the positives.... like, at least he still has all his hair!

None of you can achieve this.
His vocal decline wasn't due to age though, it was due to one of his vocal cords being paralized and atrophied. That's why he got reconstructive surgery. His voice will likely never be like it was in his prime, but hopefully he'll get back some of what he had back during the The Circle era. May not be his peak, but that tour was still awesome!

@@anja6983 his vocal cords got atrophied due to them being paralized for over a decade. Vocal cords are muscles, so if they don't move, they get weak and eventually become small. He couldn't sing well because his vocal cords could barely move. He got major reconstructive surgery and vocal rehabilitation. He basically got a plastic vocal cord in his throat. It's not that he didn't know how to sing, it was out of his control because he couldn't move them and it got even worse when he got covid

@@jamesshaw7171 I agree that he’s improved ofc he’s not gonna ever sound as he was in his prime years especially not 86 before he destroyed his voice but at least he’s giving it a shot and probably better timing and technique
