No one has ever shown me the plug in with the handle part on a job, but the way we store things in gang boxes with welded studs, it makes perfect sense.
There are cord connectors protectors that sell for between $5-$10 a piece and are waterproof. You can get them at any homegoods/ hardware stores. Or you can use zip ties. Knotting cords weakens the wires and connections leading to electrical safety hazard and the loops are more likely to snag on something.
Hey bud, don't know what kind of camera you're using but for a fixed shot like that you can turn the auto-focus off, zoom all the way in and set the focus manually on a point in the background, then zoom out and leave it set where it is. That'll keep everything in the field in focus and the auto won't self-adjust on different spots if you move around. Love the videos, hangin and bangin!
Preach brotha preach, turning these youngs guns, the new apprentices, on to you, and it's nice because we can show them hands on in the field. I've seen these muts get worn out trying to roll a longer cord with the elbow🤣🤣🤣 keep on brother your videos are great. Contractor wrap like yours are great👌👍
Hey man can you do that connecting bar video next week on how to widen a sleever bar holder I’m starting my job building a plant for Mercedes and the job is about to start it starts in September but I’ll be busy with my safety class for 2 weeks.
Don't like the first cord knot method. Puts too much stress on the plug ends. But the 2nd and 3rd cord methods are pure money. Use both of those at work daily.
make sure its not pluged in at the other end and give it a little twist with the hand thats not holding the roll and it wont figure 8 on you. on our jobs you cant tie knots or even tape the two ends togther so check first. stay cool out there
Bullshit, knotting cord ends like that is a sure fire way to wear out those ends. You're putting way too much strain and bend on the cord right where its prone to wear out... at the ends. Also yes cords can come undone that way. Better way is to take ends of cords to be connected hold them side by side unplugged and do a cross knot a lil ways back from the ends, tighten down and plug em. Won't wear out and will never come undone. Slightly more hang up but its gonna happen either way.
Not an iron worker but love the vids man
Christ this is helpful

"I'm not saying that this is the best way ever, but I'm telling you... It's fine" had me dying bro 🤣
If your cord gets cut it half or something you can take the peice of cord with the male end and use it as a power tool cord
I.use extension cords from bad ass cords they have locking ends no need to knot cords
That’s sweet I wish all the contractors I work for did that
