    I’m a first generation Australian.My dad was from Glasgow.The street that I grew up on was called Clutha place.I also worked for a coal mining company here in New South Wales named Clutha Limited.Cheers from Wollongong,New South Wales,Australia..

    Stockholm (where I live) is a city built on water (hence the name, which is derived from stock= log and holme= islet) and we have boats the cruise the waters in the city as an alternative to buses and subways. They offer this service from late spring to autumn. Rest of the year is cold and icy .

    Am I right in saying Clutha translates from Scottish Gaelic to English as Sound?

      It could be but more likely to come from a native language. I was led to believe it was sound as in a river derived from Gaelic but that could be wrong. Thank you so much for watching.
