in my opinion its really all in the word play he uses, its like a life story told in similes, like something u can visualize, for example think ab lil waynes wordplay and how it flows and compliments almost any beat he on, i think earl has grasped that and ascended past what he thinks ppl want to hear and drops to his own content

If I were to introduce Earl to anyone, EAST wouldn’t be anywhere near one of the first song that I’d have them listen to. However, the beat after a few listens I find it a little hypnotic as he’s just spitting bars over it. And in the context of the album it’s at a perfect spot as the second song of the ep. Its definitely one of my lesser favorite songs of the ep but I’ve listened to it almost 10 times already so it’s safe to say I love it.
