Glad you picked this up I just subbed. I just got my m20 last week, pretty decent starting cafe racer style bike. Suspension and parts are obviously a little cheaper then higher end units. Seat is less then desirable but honestly all in not a bad bike at all.

@e-VRC yea the seat.. I'm going to figure out how to put a custom one on eventually. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not worth keeping permanently..not sure options..wonder if I could rig little longer seat with some sort of sheet metal to extend the rear..
@paulkendrick4153 it's okay, ish..it really depends on how tall you are, how heavy you are. You could always try finding an aftermarket seat. Honestly, other than what I said above, it's not a terrible bike to start with.

In your opinion could you comfortably commute 15/20 miles on one of these? I know it’s got the battery. I’m about to buy one as my daily commute over winter and I’m driving 15 miles from Barnsley to Castleford. Even on the road route there’s a few hills involved and I don’t fancy it shitting the bed on them. It’s this or a more typical MTB e-bike with similar power.
i have problems turning off the lights, any tip? i press the plus button and in the small screen it shows that is off but actually they dont turn off. only when i turn off the bike.

I just received this bike in the mail I'm warning everyone it is trash! Bike is a cheap turd and came with staple holes in the top of the seat the battery was mounted completely crooked off to the side on the frame the motor almost sounds like it's grinding and only goes about 4mph up a slight hill. On top of that customer service doesn't exist. They don't answer the phone during business hours and don't reply to emails. I am feeling like I really got ripped off
Wow, that's REALLY bad and FKed up. Sorry that happened to you, it's a terrible thing when companies SUCK. Contact the attorney general or the equivalent in your country of a better business bureau where you live or the county of origin
I just got mine too. First impressions putting it together is that it’s cheap. But once I got it setup and took it out for a spin it feels solid! Only got 2 rides so far but honestly it feels like a steal for $1400 with dual batteries and full suspension
Was waiting for this review. I'm so mad I only just bought the Engine Pro 3 months ago, I would have waited for this!! Hahaha. Wonder if they'll make a pro version of this with hydraulic brakes and a sports mode.
I'd love it if they did. It just about gets away with mechanicals at the moment but if they could push it to 30+ then hydraulics are a must. Don't feel bad having the engine pro. It's technically the better and more versatile bike. The m20 is just cool lol.
The battery and controller can put out 1000w at any given time but the motor isn't meant to receive that much power constantly and the controller would be happier putting out fewer amps most of the time too.

We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
Great video, I've just subscribed pal. Im just waiting for my m20 to be delivered ( Lancashire). I'm planning on using it as my daily work commute bike with a total of 8 miles a day. This is my first ebike and I was just wanting to ask if it was advisable to ride in heavy rain or not. I don't want to damage the electrics or anything.
Nice one, thanks for the sub 👍 this is perfect for that distance. They are fine in the rain, I'd say anything you'd be happy to ride in the bike will be fine with too. The batteries will be fine and everything else is well protected.
@e-VRC thanks for the reply, that's reassuring. I've gone from years of motorcycles to my first ebike. I'm looking forward to it. It was your hill climbing videos that did it for me. I was torn between the m20 and the engine pro. In the end I chose the m20 for its overall looks. I'm planning on riding at peddle assist 3 or 4 mostly to avoid any unwanted looks from authorities but I'm sure I'll also have a go on full throttle 5 when on a quiet stretch of road.
@graham moore that's exactly why I'd choose the m20 over the higher specced engine pro. I was out on it this morning. Whenever I'm in a busy area i drop the power and make it obvious I'm pedalling. You'll love it 👍
I’m 6 foot tall and a little worried about the seat height… my EP2-Pro is set to 89 cm… so that’s about 7 cm higher than the M20? If so that seems like it will make pedalling worse?
I received yesterday the engwe M 20 with one battery and did the assembly. However, despite the fact that the battery seems to be fully charged when it goes into its position and the button is on, it does not seem to give power. What exactly could be happening? Do I need to do something under the driver's seat?
Hi what a really amazing review! thank you. I have an equivalent engwe EP-Pro2 (folding, copy) but i prefer this style in your video for sure. What is the height of the seat? i can't find this information anywhere :) Many thanks!

Depends how you look at it. It's a tad slower than a super73 zx. But that costs £2300 has no suspension & weaker battery. A lot of people won't care about the speed and just want the looks and decent speed for a 1000 less. The horn isn't great but it does the job of a bell on a bike. Just not good on the roads with cars but most ebike horns wouldn't be good there either.
Well, ENGWE Customer Service doesn't seem decent to me. I told them that if I bought this model of bicycle they would send me the display manual and the original display settings for this model / Settings C and P but their answer was something totally different from what I expected......."yes there is a fault in the bike" the display will show it. Then I wrote to them again and told them that if for any reason the display was damaged and I had to replace it.........I would need all the numbers of the C and P settings because just putting a display on the bike would not work. Still.......I got the same answer. They do NOT seem transparent to me......total Chinese company
Between m20 dual battery and engine pro +battery pack, for food deliveries, which would you pick? Also was the seat comfortable for you? For pedaling? Will be waiting for a range test!! ❤
Good question. The engine pro is the higher specced bike but m20 is so cool. I think for deliveries the engine pro is more suitable especially with the heavy duty rack. For a fun ride though I'd pick m20.
I have the Engine Pro and I do food deliveries and it's great. I don't have the m20 so I can't really judge, but I would miss the hydraulic brakes, I'm surprised they went without. Coming from the EP-2 it's a big difference imo - just feels safer. One thing I don't like about the Engine Pro is the regenerative braking, it makes the bike feel even heavier and I miss just rolling down huge hills with no limits. Even without engaging the regen braking you can still feel the engine limiting you.
@@anasszouhir9560 you're welcome. Honestly I wouldn't even know, I'd be sending it down the local bike shop if needed haha. But it's not like they're necessary really, just feel a lot better.
This was the worst purchase I've ever made, I bought October 2023 and its October 2024 - I'll break it down in 4 points for you below 1. - Mechanical Disc BREAKS - Dangerous and not fit for purpose, cable slips in wet and they cannot break efficiently. Engwe have had to release the M20 2.0 due to UK standards and the backlash they have got. - Cost me £300 for TGP Hydraulics - 100% upgrade to Hydraulics. 2. The Tires - Dear god they are the cheapest factory tires you can buy i had both wheels puncture after going over gravel - Replaced straight away and got Road Tires that support gravel. - £160 3. 90km per battery??? - RUBBISH - I go 20 miles a day and it uses 1 & 1/2 batteries to do it. (im only 90kg) - The battery AH is 13.5 so its never going the distance unless your in a building with smooth and flat surroundings. 4. - Gearing - You can literally buy the exact same gearing (Shimano) for £12.99 on Amazon..... If you want a cheap 2 mile a day in a city bike - Will do you fine, If you want me to recommend this bike for general use - NO DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY> Cost of Bike : £1,350 Cost of Repairs, labour costs to the shop and to actually make it a functional bike : £1,092 I have paid £2,448 for a Bike that has less than £600's worth of actual gear. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - BUY A SYNCH / SUPER73 / RADBIKE etc - ENGWE SHAME ON YOU!!!! - I've emailed, called and even wrote a letter and you have NEVER RESPONDED . DO NOT i REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The only good think on the bike is the engine.

They do NOT seem transparent to me......total Chinese company
and how much did they give you for that BS story??
@@MisterDibitybopty thanks a lot for all the info! Regarding the brakes, are they easily replaceable to the hydraulic counterpart?
@@anasszouhir9560 you're welcome. Honestly I wouldn't even know, I'd be sending it down the local bike shop if needed haha. But it's not like they're necessary really, just feel a lot better.
@@MisterDibitybopty got you! Well that settles it for me, engine pro it is.
Do the test
Hopefully they'll send the battery soon
Are these legal in the uk
Looks Cool but SLOOOOOW AF
I think the speed will be more than enough for most but yeah I'd like to do a few upgrades to get it past 30 👍
This was the worst purchase I've ever made, I bought October 2023 and its October 2024 - I'll break it down in 4 points for you below
3. 90km per battery??? - RUBBISH - I go 20 miles a day and it uses 1 & 1/2 batteries to do it. (im only 90kg) - The battery AH is 13.5 so its never going the distance unless your in a building with smooth and flat surroundings.
4. - Gearing - You can literally buy the exact same gearing (Shimano) for £12.99 on Amazon.....
If you want a cheap 2 mile a day in a city bike - Will do you fine, If you want me to recommend this bike for general use - NO DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY>
Cost of Bike : £1,350
Cost of Repairs, labour costs to the shop and to actually make it a functional bike : £1,092
I have paid £2,448 for a Bike that has less than £600's worth of actual gear.
Steve McQueen will probably spit on this electric garbage 😂
Its illegal
Loads of these in Manchester city centre ..WHY ARE THE POLICE DOING NOTHING ? NO TAX NO INSURANCE NO NOTHING ..I DRIVE FOR A LIVING SO ID LOSE MY LICENCE
