- A sequence of time-lapses that show Amy making the 'Sports Horse Mare' in clay. Towards the end of the video, part of the moulding process is shown by the team at 'Ryman & Leader Sculpture castings'. This sculpture was part of the Arborfield Horses project, a monumental equestrian commission for client, Crest Nicholson. The three life-size horses consist of 'Icarus' a rearing War Horse from WW1; the mare and her 'Youngster' will gallop ahead of him once in situ. They will be unveiled in 2021 on the site of the old Arborfield Garrison where there was once a Remount Depot and Horse Hospital.
absolutely beautiful work !! I love the way You fabricated the armiture.
Wow amazing, so much clay and hand power. Well done. What material are they cast in ?
Thank you. 400 kilos of clay. They were moulded in silicon rubber, then cast in iron-resin. Love this finish for chestnut horses 🙏
belíssimo!
Thank you 🙏
Totally enjoyed watching your video's Amy, be sure to film the unveiling and add to your video's, hope the unveiling goes well for you. Cheers now.

How many hours it took and how u manange to turn statue in 180degree
She took about six weeks to make at the clay stage before moulding and casting. There are casters (wheels) under the base board. Good for manoeuvrability :)
