- Decentering Men is a movement created to teach women how to love themselves and put themselves first. The patriarchy has taught men to focus on themselves, their goals, their wants, their needs, and then find a woman to support them. The patriarchy has also taught women to be the supporting role in the life of a man resulting in a lot of lost dreams, hopes, and desires. Now is the time for women to take care of their own mental, physical, and emotional health.

There’s nothing wrong with a woman nurturing her family forever. That’s a beautifully unselfish life- and it wouldn’t have become a problem for women to continue doing so if only men had (or would) finally learned to fully appreciate her for it and stop demanding more and telling her she’s less than him for doing it 💯
A big one for me was not waiting for a man to tell me I'm pretty in order for me to believe and see myself as pretty.
It feels good to validate myself and define my standard of pretty and what it means to me. I'm working on getting to my version of pretty for just myself and me only, not for the gaze of a man's attention but so that I can feel completely comfortable, confident, happy, and pretty for myself. I validate myself. This feels so amazing!! Finally I'm at peace with myself.

For me am single by choice. And I feel good not only decentering men but also knowing that my life is more focus. Who wants to deal with drama, BS, kids, in-laws. Nope.
