Yes, you need to have internet connection and data roaming is the easiest way. If you're on Celcom, Digi and Maxis, the best option is the monthly RM95/99 data roaming plan if you're overseas for 4 days or more. You can check with your telco on the roaming options for China.
What about in japan or south korea with alipay+ ?

Roaming quite expensive... You can't use Wechat/Alipay without the China Sim Card, right ？
@@melvin1727 don’t need to use VPN while roaming. You internet goes thru Malaysia gateway so no issues accessing FB and YT.
