I'm back!
Why haven't videos been released for two years? There are several reasons. First of all, I found my dream job in the gaming industry (andno, not at RSI - although I also interviewed there about three times), and it took a lot of time and creativity. Secondly, my computer got really bad - and Star Citizen was painful to play (and I didn’t want to capture video at 12 FPS). And thirdly, I just was tired - after all, this is not the easiest process, and it requires a lot of time and effort.
Now I have already build a new computer (the characteristics in the description of the video, for those who are interested), and I began to have enough time and energy to shoot something. Yes, it's still not interaction with game assets - models, animations, locations, effects etc - as I would like, and as I do at my job in Unreal Engine. But it became much more pleasant for me to play on the new computer. So I just played and filming the most interesting moments for two weeks - and this video came out of them :)
I don't promise that the next videos will be released quickly, but I already have ideas, and some of the material is ready. So stay tuned :)

Я вернулся!
Почему два года не выходили видео? На то есть несколько причин. Во первых, я нашёл работу своей мечты в игровой индустрии (нет, не в RSI - хотя там я тоже собеседовался около трёх раз), и на неё уходило много времени и творческих сил. Во вторых, мой компьютер стал совсем плох - и уже не тянул игру на нормальном уровне (а снимать видео в 12 ФПС я не хотел). Ну и в третьих я просто устал - всё таки, это не самый простой процесс, и требует массу сил и времени.
Сейчас я уже собрал себе новый компьютер (характеристики есть в описании к видео, кому интересно), да и сил и времени стало хватать на то, чтоб что-то снять. Да, это всё ещё не работа с ассетами игры - моделями, анимациями, локациями, эффектами и так далее - как мне бы хотелось, и как я делаю у себя на работе в Unreal Engine. Но играть на новом компьютере мне стало гораздо приятнее. Потому я просто играл две недели, снимая самые интересные моменты - из них как раз и получилось данное видео :)
Не обещаю, что следующие видео выйдут быстро, но идеи у меня уже есть, и часть материала готова. Так что следите за обновлениями :)

Спустя столько времени я уже и позабыл о Star Citizen. За новостями практически не слежу, а купленные кораблики так и пылятся в виртуальном ангаре. А тут такой ролик, который по настоящему вдохновляет! Не то чтобы я сразу побежал чекать последние новости проекта, просто... вера в релиз достойной игры, которая когда-нибудь станет культовой, вера, которая еще немного, но теплится в душе, стала греть сильнее после подобных видео. Спасибо! И с возвращением)

Also how did you achieve that smooth camera movement in one direction while also turning the camera? Are you doing it manually with a controller or are you using a program like VoiceAttack for precise inputs?

(tip) this might seem like a drunken state but it works really well when u free hand camera. i like to do 0.50 when it comes to mouse smoothing this might apply to head tracking as well just need to find that smoothing setting. but for mouse a good drunken state makes some really good smoothing paned shots.
normal gameplay i do 0.10 to 0.08 makes less of a jitter from picking up the imperfections in a mouse pad
panning shots 0.50 and then i try to use a Ps4 controller to pan the shots and being able to do other lens focus and or lens depth at the same time
or get GTC game touch controller and they have camera tool within that program that can do some of the ships by making all of them the same no matter where u go in the world

I was back after 4 years and finally progress was made.Not as nuch as I hope but it was what I expected in 2014 for 3 years in the future but no. Over ten years and it must be exceedly difficult what they were trying to do since it took ten years to get to this level. Am I 100 percent satisfied nope so another break for at least several years or if I hear about a real brekthrough. The project is amazing however.

Not that I matter one bit but I'm not gonna play until they actually get 3.18 fleshed out. With this new system called PES, it's a huge buggy mess. I might start playing again when 3.19 or 4.0 comes out. Right now it's just not worth my time.
