As a team travel guy, the Amex Gold is a no brainer card and one that may never leave my wallet. I've got a ton of value from the Amex Offers this past year as well. The food credits are kinda annoying but it's something I'm willing to deal with. Get this card ASAP if you haven't already

For the hotel collection, is there a max number of time you can use the $100 credit? like is that once a year? or multiple times? what happens if you book two rooms, is that $200 credit then?
The $100 credit is only once per year. You a required a two night minimum stay to get the credit, and you would only receive $100, not $200. Hope this helps!
Brian, what are your thoughts on the World Elite Mastercard that Capital One keeps upgrading everyone to? My wife had it happen to an old Walmart CP1 she got when she was focused on rebuilding and on face value it seems to have a lot of the same benefits as my AMEX Gold. Would love to see a video from you going into this.

Only get a card if it makes sense for your spending habits! For me the gold card has been my favorite daily driver and it’s still a keeper card for me. If you can’t justify the annual fee and have a hard time using the credits there are still a ton of great other choices too

I hit 4000 points within 3 weeks after getting the card, I got my 60000 points within 4 weeks or so..
