It would be great to show which bulbs are which.
Looking for advice, I changed my bulb on my GL450 just like in the video but now it says all the lights on the right side are out and only the emergency light is on. Could I have possibly lossened a wire in the process? I double checked and everything is fit back snug so I'm at a loss. And is the right brake light bulb the one right in the middle?

I am 70+ years old and my old 1990 350dsl Mercedes will NOT pass inspection here in Louisiana.
Here is the problem.
1990 Mercedes 350dsl When I turn on the parking lights the tail lights work, BUT when I turn on the head lights the Drivers side tail light goes out.
Sometimes the bulbs are dual filament bulbs... so it seems like it works in some settings but in other settings it does not. So for example it might have a filament for the parking lights and another filament as the tail light. Also, check the contacts on all the bulbs and metal contacts for the housing. I would take some abrasive like sandpaper and make sure the contacts to the bulb are good. Sometimes the old metal starts to corrode and the electrical contact is loose causing the lights to work intermittently.

I changed the bulb from the other side which works both on parking and headlightIt does not work on that side and also there is no voltage getting to the bad side whenheadlights are on but is on parking lights.

That’s because this is a GL - and the setup in GL and ML are different. It’s a lot easier to change in the ML.. no need to unplug any wires or anything, just take out the bulb socket holder and switch the bulbs.
Why does this video say "ML" in it? The ML and the GL are not the same and now I'm three minutes behind on my schedule because you decide to lie about the contents of this video...

Although for the newer model GL450’s like the 2009 and up,it’s a pain in the ass because it’s all LED and they force you to replace the whole housing with the led lights🤬
No reason to undo the connector.
Just take the light out
Exactly - on my 2008 ML350 4Matic you just untwist the bulbs off from the back - you don't take out a tray
