I am still amazed he started dancing at age 20, that's not easy to do especially when he was already fully developed. Most dancers started young when they can still train their bodies. You can tell the hard work he put in to match his band mates.
Jin is very flexible, Thus the name "king of flexibility". In one of their shows, he casually said he has a blackbelt in taekwondo. I notice in any of their run episode games where there is a need to exhibit athleticism he does excel. like foot volleyball, opening a bag of chips with legs, ping pong etc.He ha a natural coordination
Yes, Jin has improve so much and the fact he started with zero experience is dancing and singing.. that just amazes me because look at him now! He definitely has more confidence. If he was a bad dancer he would really stand out for that when he's dancing with the other members but he doesn't (?) even people that doesn't know a thing about BTS or don't stan them don't say that about him it all when they watch a performance. He sings and dance at the same time and those choreos are not easy, a "bad dancer" could not keep up like him. Just look how good he dances. I actually was so proud when BTS came back with ON because it was amazing and If y'all watch the dance practice and stuff.. damn he really daces well. I just feel he needs more confidence because Jin has mentioned a lot of times that he doesn't dance and just "moves his body" and he says he's not the best but not everyone can dance and keep up like him. Taehyung and the other members always tell him that that's not true, that he has worked hard and I think people should stop telling him he's a bad dancer cuz he's really not. Some of you live in the past and can't see his progress or compare him with the dance lines, and best of the best dancers in kpop like Jimin, Hobi, Kai, Taemin.. like bro they have been dancing for years since they were kids and they clearly have something special and a lot of passion for dance. Anyways, I'm so proud of Kim Seokjin. 💜
I’m only like 5 minutes into the video but I think it’s also important to mention that Jin had never done any dance/singing until he joined BigHit as a trainee, so in the first clip he’d only had 3 years of any actual dance training, and obviously dance wasn’t all he was doing for those 3 years he was learning to sing and all the other stuff associated with being a Kpop star. The other members had a bit of a leg up when compared with him because although some of them obviously weren’t dancers they did already have a base level of rapping/singing skill which they didn’t have to build up from scratch whilst also learning to dance. Idk I just think people are way to harsh on Jin for his dancing, especially during his early debut days, when you consider that he only had 3 years to get himself to a similar level of skill of his members some of which who had been dancing since they were literally children
I would say that it is hard to "fake" dance. If you make a mistake or have less training, it can be obvious. All that being said, for only three years of training he really does look great. I would have never guessed!
Also, having taken intensive dance study starting as adult for three years, getting pretty good by the end, i couldn't have advanced as quickly as I did if I had to work and didn't get ample sleep. Those guys seemed perpetually very sleep deprived and overworked.
Love this! Thank you for reacting to Jin’s dancing. I can’t imagine starting off as a trainee w/zero singing or dancing background and then debuting in a group and having to perform in front of people, that’s stressful. So yes Jin can dance!
Totally love the insightful commentary and focus on fabulicious growth with Mr. Woldwide Handsome Jin as he evolves to be a talented entertainer. Even if Jin had more fluid, flowy bagginess dancer-friendly performance attire, there is no visual doubt Jin looks cleaner and sharper in his expressive chest movements. I am more of a Super Tuna in my dance groove abilities. Thank you Margaret for the high-quality content. 💜
not only did jin start dancing only as an adult which is an incredible feat..his teacher was also not the best or particularly encouraging with him. their choreographer actually admitted that he would used "cruel" and harsh words when training them. he would constantly call jin the worst dancer publicly and and privately even tho he's far from it. the other members even recalled once how during their earlier years he'd sleeptalk while having nightmares about making mistakes and apologizing. His confidence took big hits because of how much people unnecesserily teased him. I hope you react to his recent clips and see even more of his progress. He's been through a lot and trained probably more than anyone. I really hate how much people nitpicked at him but I'm immensely proud of him...He's a great dancer and there's no question about it
Yes, I also heard that Jin might have been cut if RM/Bang PD had not insisted that they keep him. At first RM wanted Jin because he considered him their handsome "secret weapon" but then they became good friends and he considered Jin an important part of the group's cohesion. They went through quite a "hazing" during their training period. it's hard to imagine.
No, it was in an interview. I'll post if I can find it. I don't know what wattpad is. Ofc Jin worked harder than anyone else on learning how to dance. Son Sungdeuk said that he was very hard on Jin and wasn't sure if he was going to be up to the difficult choreography but RM defended him. That's all. Jin is one of my favorites and I personally think he is an amazing dancer (compared to all singers in the world) I can't believe what Jin was able to achieve in such little time. On top of everything else he was doing! He was also just learning how to sing at the time too. I don't know why you thought I was putting him down. I also love his silver voice!
As I a, watching this video, the original commentator kept say Jin keeps looking down and/or at the other members. This is true. Even today you can see him looking at the other members. By doing this Jin has saved RM from fire and he also protects the member when they are injured on stage. He makes sure they are not dancing when they should not be dancing. I think that it is great when he is onstage looking out for the other members.
It is nice to see this analysis by a real ballet dancer. I always thought they were all amazing. I mean yeah the three Js have it naturally but Jin and RM are pretty impressive professional dancers in my eyes (a non-dancer--at least not since high school lol). Thanks for taking the time ☺
Our sweetheart is back, wooo! I missed you so much! Thank you for the vid, it was really interesting to watch! I'm happy at least somebody giving a "non-dance line" member of the group (which is a ridiculous thing to exist, if you ask me) a time to shine. Would be delighted to watch a similar piece about Suga and RM, if that's okay with you!
You are so sweet! I've missed posting and being able to interact with all y'all lovely people :) I was planning on going through all the members progress, as I had so much fun with this video. I'm glad you enjoyed!
ua-cam.com/video/26SBINrF5BU/v-deo.html here's something from last year! he's definitely improved a lot. he still has some issues to iron out like not being on time or poor footwork but i think jin is one of the few idols who've improved significantly during their careers and i really commend him for that
Your explanation make sense. I often "over thinking" in everything, because I'm very good in logic and math. When I learn to play badminton, at the beginning I can not follow the movement. But my friend can figure and copy the movement only by watching it. Of course at the beginning he is not good but he is understand. When my other friend who good at badminton explained the theory why I should hold the racket in the certain way, why I should move my body in certain way, etc. now I can follow the movement. But I do have short muscle memory. Btw, you are great teacher.
I can relate, while I'm not so good at math, I am always over thinking how to do steps, which can make them look a little awkward. I think it is amazing how everyone learns and thinks about things in a unique way! Also I like the video idea and have already added it to my future filming list!
this is lovely! i’d love you to react to his more recent dancing. and maybe do someone like taehyung since he worked his way into the dance line so his transformation is great!
Aww thank you. I was at a dance intensive and I thought I was going to have time to upload, but I got a bit too busy. I'm going to try really hard to be consistent, because I miss y'all :)
Also to be honest these compilation videos are so stupid and taken out of context - you have to watch the whole performance to see how he really is. They nitpicked parts of the videos which can be done to all the members on their worst sections.. idk just me
I am still amazed he started dancing at age 20, that's not easy to do especially when he was already fully developed. Most dancers started young when they can still train their bodies. You can tell the hard work he put in to match his band mates.
That is such a good point. Imagine finally figuring out your body and then starting to make it do all these funky moves haha it's impressive :)

He is amazing, he has worked so hard, starting from 0 and now look at him, he is part of the most popular group in the world, BRAVO JIN 🙌👏
