When i clicked on the message, i thought i will hear some about not giving up. Little did i know it's something i needed to hear. God knows what we need, when we need it. Lord Jesus, help us to kill the Cain in us. Thank Pastor Tim for the word.

It was definitely about what Cain and Abel and what they gave. Cain gave something from the ground, and Abel gave the first from his flock (a living lamb). Who does this remind you of later on in scripture? The lamb, the one who died for our sins, the son of the living God… Which shows Gods heart towards us, not only Gods heart but also Yeshuas’ heart to wards becoming a sacrifice for us. and now we have to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.
Surely Cain & Abel must have known what was supposed to be given. We see the sacrifice of a lamb throughout all scripture leading on to what God did and Christ himself also.
    Read John 3:16-17.
It’s only through Christ, the lamb, the son of the living God that we will be saved. He is the only one who IS acceptable and was sinless before men.
    Read John 14:6
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”
It says NO ONE, can come to the father, EXCEPT through me’ , - that’s Jesus HIMSELF talking.
So yes, it does matter what we bring to God, because he’s not gonna accept anything unless we come to him as the mediator, His Son, Jesus’ Christs name.
