This is now my aquarium. I put it on in the background and let it play. Over and over and over. One small comment? The windstorm sound track doesn’t match the calm wind current affecting the Flora. Please make more of these! This is a new undiscovered niche and you could really monopolize on it! Love the sharp video and clarity.
Hate to break it to you, but the graphical fidelity of this game is nothing special. Sure it looks very crisp indoors and on ships, but once out in the wild, everything feels the same. One example is that there is no depth in snow or sand and the reflections from the sun makes it look like a rubber mat.
Thanks for making this ... very relaxing. I must admit though, apart from the planet with the ringed moon in the sky, most of these didn't feel very unique or different. I'd love to see a few with weak atmosphere's, so you can see the stars and planets in the sky as you walk around.
Codo the moon of Akila, is a hidden gem. It’s day night cycle is extremely rapid, making sun rise and sun set vistas very common. The Fauna are hilarious and drop Lubricant / Sealant. Resourcing… but made fun!
Now just imagine what we could get with the 5 years of updates/dlc and modders resources. One of the things really missing is rivers and small lakes. They need to add Lava planets like Mustafar too.
yes and no. the variation in terrain is bad. most of the planets are flat and some are flat with some hills. minecraft did a waaaay better job at this. you can walk for hours and you will never encounter a place thats looks the same as something you have seen before.
@@tiefensuchtMinecraft can do this because it's also relying on a totally different system of rendering and generating terrain. I will say some of the mountains in Starfield are insanely detailed
Technically It is not a that big difference, almost every game uses the same principles for terrain generation. They just render it in different ways. @@irecordwithaphone1856
When you look at the digital artbook, the variety of biomes had way more potential than just desert, ice, and different color trees. The art in the artbook was so stunning to me i felt like we missed out big time.
Never understood the hate for these planets. Yes the POIs are procedurally generated and not all of them are packed with activities/life but i don't expect every planet to be full of quests. So far I've been loving the experience on Series X and having a rover to drive around makes exploration so much easier..
I'm here after the vehicle update. With the new buggy and all of the different mods you can add, this game is a really fun sandbox to explore now. Of course they need more points of interest from Bethesda but even those the mod community has you covered. My favorite mod allows you to create a dense forest and spawn hordes of animals. It gives it a more alien look.
Man, there are many planets and you are saying these things? Did you really want each planet to be totally different from each other? literally man really knows the surface of 3 or 4 planets in our system
will be great if bethesda made loading new location after you leave previous one. and journey will be like in daggerfall, it will huge leap towards overall space adventure atmosphere. and seamless landing / leaving planets.
The more I see of this game, the more I want to play it. All these places that you visited... can you build a base anywhere that you are walking? Not looking for a sprawling metropolis, just want a chill campsite where I can cook, craft, and watch the local sun(s) set and rise. Not looking for combat all the time. Starfield has some issues, granted, but for the life of me, i cannot call it a bad game.. I have been playing it non stop for days now.. Saying it's a bad game, would be hypocritical. I honestly believe the haters on the internet are a bit hypocritical. I guarantuee you they enjoyed the game for a while, then when they encountered the issues, it completely swayed their opinion.
Most of tgem didn't explore the game pr allow themselves to get into the systems of making a base collecting resources and doing weapon/food /meds research.....the more planetary scans you do and wildlife scans you can actually become a botantist/farmer/ zoo keeper if you want lol. So technically you could role play and have different business wh3re you sell yoir produce to support your crews life style, dlc and mods will only make it better expanding the content on barren planets and developing the outpost system so you cam create a mini colony. and eventually I think they will let you have a space port / colony ship so you can have huge outposts orbiting planets which could be an endgame feature due to the resources it needs 😂
I find it to be the most amazing game for relaxing and calmly explore random places. I turn off the hud completely, and find places visually instead of using the map/scanner. Going to a high ground, looking around, spotting something in the distance and going there. It's increadible.
Randomly jumping through this 9 hour video makes it clear that Bethesda MicroSoftworks needs to add more variety to the different planetary ambience. It's the same wind/rustling on every damn planet
I am not a "hater" but I am someone who voiced some negativ and positiv thoughts about Starfield (old Skyrim/Fallout fan who loves space so I really wanted this game to be good) and I have to tell you, no hater cares about this video, like, literally almost no hater complained that there are no nice visuals in this game, only some trolls, and then even those "nice visuals" are not really that great to be honest....or more like, simply not enough, to spare etc. Only some parts of this video are really great to look at, looking into the Sky is great, the atmosphere and fog in the distance etc. all is done well, but then, you just walk thru some procedurally placed plants and rocks in front of you without anything interesting to look for really, 10 minutes into the video, you fell like you have seen everything there is..... like I don't know how you think this video will change anyone's mind about the game, this video is not proving anyone wrong who "hated" on the game (minus the trolls saying "outdated graphics")
I haven't played this game. Its awesome that there's all of these planets, but what is there to actually do and discover on them? Do they have interesting characters and quests? I Dont see anything that looks like more than an empty environment.
There are interesting characters and quests but my biggest disappointment is that there are a very limited number of building layouts which are repeated across all quests and scenarios and makes the game very predictable and boring after a while.
As soon as Boris made ENB for Starfield, the environment gonna look extremely stunning. Even now it looks gorgeous already. Thank you for this. Gonna sleep well tonight. :)
I like the game, I like the idea of exploring space, hell I like the shooting part too, but there's something missing. The lack of immersion, the environment just not interacting with you (specially in third person perspective), all the biomes looked artificial, it feels outdated or maybe it's just me having too much expectation, I mean we've waited so long for this game to come out.
Creation kit is out, download immersive hud mod. Also download starvival mod add-odd ( that's what it's called. Also download, Immersive NPCs, now you have a super realistic game, a real hunger meter, thirst meter, sleep meter, eating too much makes you too full and it has negative effects. Tons of cool stuff.
Why are the ocean water effects in Starfield so bad? Fallout 4 had decent effects, Waves going in and out that splash against the rocks etc.. It looks so static and fake in Starfield.
This video would be great and very useful for people traveling to the final frontiers. Actually people in the future may be using it. They are probably using it to create holograph and pretend it’s Earth.
Late game in over 100 hours with major crashes. Corrupted all save files. This game is so broken the farther you go with the story. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a new game.

They all look almost identical, and I didn't see any landscape you couldn't potentially find on Earth. In a space game, I'd want alien landscapes like I haven't seen before. The lack of imagination is jarring.
I hate to break it to you, but reality also has a lack of imagination because that's what planets look like. The laws of physics don't care, they just are. Starfield isn't No Man's Sky,. It has grounded and believable worlds in a space that is true to scale. that's what it's going for.

The game is really beautiful, but the game's artificial intelligence is a little dumb when it comes to natural satellites with life, there should be an eclipse.

But most of Starfield's life bearing planets are terrestrial and we know nothing about other planets with life on them. Starfield's relies mostly on convergent evolution as a basis for most living organisms you find in the game. And when it comes to rocks, it's a rock. Those are bound to look similar across different worlds. The same laws of physics apply.
You realise anyone can slap crazy colours onto a texture to make it look alien. But rocks , water etc will always look like it does on earth regardless of what planet its on......they mixed it up as much as they could as they went for 'realism' and also unless you want the game to be 300gb of textures they had to limit the variety of assets
Well,.look at The last of us or AC Unity - I find these games better looking visulally (ok, Unity is 9 years old). 8 yo Dying Light is looking better, even Far Cry 4. At least there are some 5-6 yo games that look faar better, for instance FC5, AC Origins/Odyssey or WatchDogs2 imho.
So, a game has to look like real life to be good? Each of those games you listed are great games. Their age has nothing to do with it. Starfield is a beautiful game, just like those older games. I do not see your point.
I'm sorry, but honestly, walking through empty and sad places doesn't encourage you to play. For the most part, the entire area is empty. The lack of space exploration, which Bethesda boasted so much, is in fact a cut-scene, sometimes a battle that does not give any satisfaction from the game. And this graphic design and models of soulless characters have not changed since Fallout 4 🤦 Bethesda should put some passion into their work. The game is so stiff that you don't even want to play. The duty of Single Player Games is to have an interesting story. A plot that will encourage you to continue playing. so far my rating is 3/10.
As a fellow explorer just looking for the right place to call home, you deserve my sincerest appreciation.

But most of Starfield's life bearing planets are terrestrial and we know nothing about other planets with life on them. Starfield's relies mostly on convergent evolution as a basis for most living organisms you find in the game. And when it comes to rocks, it's a rock. Those are bound to look similar across different worlds. The same laws of physics apply.

Looks kinda bad, doesn't it? It's hard to make a thousand generated planets look good, especially for Bethesda given their technology sucks.
You realise anyone can slap crazy colours onto a texture to make it look alien. But rocks , water etc will always look like it does on earth regardless of what planet its on......they mixed it up as much as they could as they went for 'realism' and also unless you want the game to be 300gb of textures they had to limit the variety of assets

Well,.look at The last of us or AC Unity - I find these games better looking visulally (ok, Unity is 9 years old). 8 yo Dying Light is looking better, even Far Cry 4. At least there are some 5-6 yo games that look faar better, for instance FC5, AC Origins/Odyssey or WatchDogs2 imho.
So, a game has to look like real life to be good? Each of those games you listed are great games. Their age has nothing to do with it. Starfield is a beautiful game, just like those older games. I do not see your point.

I'm sorry, but honestly, walking through empty and sad places doesn't encourage you to play. For the most part, the entire area is empty. The lack of space exploration, which Bethesda boasted so much, is in fact a cut-scene, sometimes a battle that does not give any satisfaction from the game. And this graphic design and models of soulless characters have not changed since Fallout 4 🤦
Bethesda should put some passion into their work. The game is so stiff that you don't even want to play. The duty of Single Player Games is to have an interesting story. A plot that will encourage you to continue playing. so far my rating is 3/10.

Outdoor graphics are so bad in this game. Far Cry 1 from 2004 did a better Job at this. Indoor areas instead looks great.

Graphics don't mean anything. The last two game of the year titles had outdated graphics. The art style and design are more important.
