Thank you! Hawaii is an spectacular film. And seeing in big screen must be great! Sweet stories about the always lovely and talented Dame Julie Andrews!
This film is one of the great ones in cinema and the acting was excellent. It should have been nominated for best picture and won. It has also been treated badly with cut dvd versions. There was a roadside version on a blu ray disc held hostage by a blu ray cut version. The full length version needs to be rereleased both for blu and non blu ray players. Julie Andrews was magnificent and so was Max Von Sydow. I also had the honor of meeting Manu Topu who played Keoki when I was a teenager at the High School of Performing Arts in NYC. Everything was excellent including Elmer Bernstein's magnificent score. I remember a nameless actress who tried to sing "Wishing Doll" rather badly, at the Academy Awards; Julie Andrews should have sung it. Although there was little singing in the film her acting was superb. This film will always be one of my favorites.
