I saw Garth in 1989 at a theme park. We were in the cheap seats. He was walking with his guitar out in our area having the time of his life, and so were we. I've seen him now 17 times since then.

@Matt idk, I was around at that time, I just knew what TV show that was
I feel like his accent isn’t as thick anymore as it was in this video…
The industry probably coached him out of it, as he’d later become a pop star.
Also much more soft spoken than now….but maybe that was because he was younger etc.
He was fresh from Oklahoma and Nashville, also he was just starting to appear on television by this time, so he was most likely shy, quiet spoken.. maybe his accent wore down as time progressed, from all the performing and touring
