I love watching a fellow shrimper pull in a nice haul as you just did in this video. I just got home here near Newport, Oregon after shrimping up in Area 7 where we get four separate three day seasons. Going back up on the 11th. I love my ace Line hauler! And I really appreciate how the bulldog accessory coils the line into the bucket. Nice set up you have there. Happy shrimping!
I agree with your sentiment on living in the Puget Sound area, I can't imagine living anywhere else but near the Pacific coast. Great job getting on the shrimp, it was a madhouse where we dropped our pots.
just FYI, you don't need to keep the heads. Its a common belief that you do for some reason. from the WA state regs: "If retaining only spot shrimp, then shrimp heads may be removed and discarded in the field." great video!
Hi Fin West, I will be in Rockaway Beach, OR on 7/04-7/08 and wondering if you are close to that area. If you are I would love to join you for some fishing.
Im sure its an ignorant question but ive never been ocean fishing and i see it on all the boats in the videos i watch. Why donyou guys have two different size motors with the smaller one always raised up? Is the smaller one for trolling?

yes, the smaller motor is for trolling. (also backup if the main motor fails)
I know you have your things marked as yours.... but How do you remember exactly Where you put them? All that water looks the same to me.
Make a mark on the GPS if you're going far. But we don't usually go far for shrimp
pulling 400 shrimp with Mckay pots
You shrimping MA8-2?
just north of the Mukilteo ferry
Why is the limit so low?
don't do it. the smaller pots fish just a bit slower. it is better to throw some back or take someone else with you.
