    Yes putting the quad on an incline or just jacking the front up is the way to purge any air. Thanks for an info video !

    Just an FYI if you drain the whole system. There is a bleeder screw on the left side of the engine that needs to be removed until it overflows. Close it once full and they continue with filling it like this guy. If you aren’t getting it to burp or flow into the radiator, squeeze the hose running to the engine to help push out the air bubbles.

    My 570 is just above the minimum level, so I’m going to just add to the reservoir tank this morning and keep checking it to see if it changes any, thanks for the video sir.

    Thank you.. The battery on my 2016 450h.o. ( basically a detuned 570 ) died and as I replaced it, noticed the reservoir was empty. Very hard to see the level unless you put a light behind it. You gave me everything I needed to know and to make sure it’s completely full. I’m going to park it on a hill right now and do your procedure. Thank you again.

    Nice video !
    My 2016 Polaris with less than 1000 miles is starting to overheat. The light came on and then the motor started sputtering.
    My guess is a stuck thermostat ?
    I actually own two of these machines they’re both 2016 Polaris 570 sportsman models.
    Both under 1000 miles, the one hasn’t caused any problems other than batteries and a oil change but the second one already had to replace the voltage regulator ectifier and now this problem. I’m a little disappointed in Polaris and the maintenance required to keep these machines up ?
    and operating.

    • @WildWonderfulOutdoors
      @WildWonderfulOutdoors  Рік тому +1

      The factory coolant is very clear, or its water. Driving slow doesn't necessarily mean lower heat. There isn't enough air moving over the radiator to cool it. You probably hear the fan running a lot. Don't baby it, they need to be driven.

    • @WildWonderfulOutdoors
      @WildWonderfulOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      Yea man, everyone I've spoke with at Polaris said to specifically use Polaris coolant. It is the same thing between car manufactures. Using different types of coolant can cause corrosion on different parts inside the motor. You also want to match the color you have in it. If it looks clear it is the yellow. There are a couple choices, but just ask one of the guys at your dealer for help.

    • @WildWonderfulOutdoors
      @WildWonderfulOutdoors  4 роки тому +5

      So that gravity works on your team and pushes all the air bubbles to the top. You want your coolant system to be bled and sealed, that's how it works properly. If an air bubble gets stuck in the cooling system it can cause problems such as the thermostat not opening when it should and poor flow of coolant through the motor. It is good to fill at the highest point you can so that all the air goes to the top, then top off the reservoir. That help?

      From working on cars for a living, some coolants can corrode engine components and cause damage. I always use OEM coolant in my repairs, the guys at the dealership said to use the specific colored Polaris coolant so that's what I'm running.

    @dallasjungers2621 2 роки тому +1

    Hey I noticed my coolant was low on my 2017 570 so I added it as you did but it’s running it burps air and then once it’s warm the fan kicks on and sucks some down then once the fan turns off it goes back up but it keeps burping a little even after for running for 15 mins any ideas ?

    • @WildWonderfulOutdoors
      @WildWonderfulOutdoors  2 роки тому +1

      How low does it go? It seems like your system is probably working as it should, is your reservoir topped off as well? The fan kicks on to push air through the radiator that is pumping coolant through the motor as it runs. Another thing I did was rinse the radiator at a later time. I realized that it was chocked full of mud. It needs air passing through it to function properly.

    • @WildWonderfulOutdoors
      @WildWonderfulOutdoors  3 роки тому +2

      Yessir! It doesn't have to be super steep, you are just making sure that the fill point is the highest point of the cooling system and let her idle. Fill as you see coolant getting sucked in until it doesn't drop anymore. Fill the cooling system first, then top off your reservoir. Hope that helps!

    • @WildWonderfulOutdoors
      @WildWonderfulOutdoors  4 роки тому

      It was highly recommended to use Polaris coolant and to even match the color. The issue with using different coolants from different manufactures is sometimes certain blends can lead to corrosion within the motor. That's why in the car world, all manufactures make their own coolant and there are specific colors for certain vehicles.
