Let me know which idea was your favorite? 🤔
The fabric "wallpaper" is my fave!
hehe thanks, I know you've heard me mention is so many times before 🙈@@1005corvuscorax
The vintage plate displays…I ❤️ doing this in my kitchen and dining area
Plastic hanging flowers around the big lamp on the ceiling.
A cafe curtain is one that covers the lower part of a window, so-called because it gave cafe patrons privacy from passersby without blocking light. A curtain on lower cabinets is a skirt. 👍
Yes absolutely, that's also a great search term! The reason I just kept it to cafe curtains is because when I googled skirt curtains, cafe curtains pop up under the same listing names. I figured it was easier to find different options that way 🙈
@@justlanchen Correct👍
But it is good to know all names so you can increase the results amounts on the search.@@justlanchen
Cozy cottage and I'm getting maximalist vibes, I absolutely love it.
me too!!! 🥰
Another nice idea is to thrift a few dainty teacups and turn them into candles. Using leftover candles makes this very affordable. I also do a lot of repainting, mixing and matching to end up with unique cottagecore decor.
Oooo I love these ideas! I own a lot of beautiful floral dinnerware and I always wanted them on display. I can't believe I never thought about taking the doors off the cabinets! :D 💗
you must give it a try!!!
I like the open cabinets look and the pots and pans. Im a fan of copper, brass and iron. Thanks :)
same!! such good materials
I am so surprised Cottage has caught on. I am 75 and have been doing this my whole life! Suddenly, everything I have is now sought after. While on my journey creating my alternate lifestyle, people described me as an eccentric, a witch, "different".
I like the idea of taking some doors off to display plates, tea sets etc 🖤
right!! I love it too!
Taking off the cabinet doors does look really cool.
Right! I love it as well
I love your outfit and entire look in this video! It gives such spring vibes 🌸
thank you!!!
Cottagecore is much older than 2010s! It was just called stuff like Country/Prairie and even Shabbychic decor back in the day! ❤ My mom and grandma both decorated their houses in this Country style. My mom was a bit more heavy handed on it becuase she truly loved British Country style and longed to live in a real cottage. She was obsessed with Beatrix Potter and a lot of that vibes well with "Cottagecore." We had the open shelves but we had contact paper on the shelves and we had all the curtains. Lots of lace and quilts and bed skirts! It was a lovely and creative enrivonment to grow up in as a little kid. ❤
My grandma didn't take her cabinet doors off in her kitchen but she would use decals and stick them onto the doors! Sunflowers and Humminbirds! ❤
i think she meant The Word Cottagecore, not the entire concept haha
Exactly. They just recycle aesthetics with new labels and call it "new".
"Why wouldn't you want a bed skirt?!" Well, it basically creates a ladder around the perimeter for spiders and other bugs to crawl up onto your bed. They also collect hair and dust, you may have heard them called "dust ruffles". I agree that they're cute and part of the aesthetic, but probably not the most practical way to achieve the look you're going for.
Defenitly gonna keep a few of tjese in mind for my dorm room this fall. Mainly the plastic leaves, and I want to make a fake Wisteria tree in my dorm maybe
Me encantan tus decoraciones que Dios te siga dando la capacidad para compartirnos tu casa tan bella gracias un saludo de México
Mostly similar to the last one but with some nice new photos. I liked that one of the "window treatments" bit, although there's not much overall I can use here and the kitchen is secondary to the living room, etc.
thanks!! 🥰 I used my favorite DIYs and transformative budget friendly ideas from my decor list I made. Both videos go hand in hand in my head. Maybe this one first and decor second if you want to add more
The most useful suggestions I have found! Thank you. I'll be saving this and referring to it often.
I like the tablecloth idea the best! Perhaps because it's the most achievable. Nice video!
I love this video! Thanks for the wonderful ideas.
Loved your first vid about Cottagecore, it took me down memory lane.
This one, however, takes it up a level. More ideas, and even the ideas you brought up in the previous vid are explained in more detail.

Apropos of nothing, are you from Connecticut or some area close to there?
I'm so glad you liked it! I always appreciate reading your comments 🫶 I'm from Florida but moved to California when I was 8 🥰
@@justlanchen 20 some odd years ago a guy moved to my town in Oregon from Connecticut, and he pronounced curtain exactly like you. Hence my question🙂
Awesome video great ideas cheers
Loved this 🥰
So glad!
These are fantastic ideas especially for spring 🌷
Thanks so much! 😊
I love the clothing as well ❤❤❤
the windows!! love it
Perfect video.. your channel is amazing! 👒

Excellent tips, thank you so much!!! These are great
Thank you 🙏

Thank YOU NINJA!!!!!!
I must say that I'd love to know the choice behind wearing underwear over the top of the cute blouse. Not throwing shade - I was wearing pointing vintage bras as tops in the 1980s, so I'm super curious.
Thank you Lanchen I hope you write a book or make one of your IG posts - !you are a Wizard!
Such great ideas! Thank you! I just liked and subscribed.
So glad you liked it! Thank you for subbing 🥹🫶
Does that tape leave residue when you remove it? Other than that concern, I really liked the idea.
If you need wood material, ask from people you know who have built something out of wood in the near past, because pieces they left without using can be quite good!
I have heard it called cross hatch window
#crosshatchwindow
THANK GOODNESS. I will not forget this 🫶
@@justlanchen Diagonal or Diamond Muntin ❤
Wonderful video. So many great ideas. It is appreciated. I only have one note because it was said throughout the video. Curtain = pronounced "Cur - tan", not "Cur - in". Again, only because it was used so often in the video. My favorite was your using sheets in so many genius ways. Have a great day. Blessings -
I’m sorry it bothered you. From what I understand both pronunciations are correct. I use a glottal stop which is common in America and I’ve never heard anyone pronounce the T personally. I do appreciate you taking the time to give positive feedback about the DIYs.Thank you! 🫶
@@justlanchen Again, didn't mean to offend. I've only seen a couple of your videos now and am enjoying your attention to detail with each style. Great videos. Have a wonderful day.
Both are correct. Depends on where you came from. Like wash, worsh, water, or woder. Oil, Ole....pattern, patten...roof, roovf. Chimney, Chiminey... Curtain, Curtin...t silent. Salted, Salten....we could make a game out of this.😅
@justlanchen You are right, and I am in the US and have heard both versions. Same with other words around the country.
You used to be able to buy faux lead strips that are self stick ,
❤
🤎
Im.just curious why two same video with a same things? 🤔
One video is just decor, this is DIYs and other ideas to be an ode to the aesthetic somewhere in the home. Of course ideas will overlap because there is only so much I can come up with and I mentioned decor in my previous video that could be a DIY and felt it made sense here.
It is funny how they keep recycling the same aesthetics by just changing the labels and then swearing it is a new one. When you are old enough to experience life enough, you can recognize that a mile away.
There are 100s at this point 😅 I think they have an aesthetic for literally anything you can think of
I have literally been admiring this decor style my entire life and I’m 55.
@@justlanchen Oh yes, they do!
I love this video, it’s just… kind of… repetitive of the prior cottagecore video.
Why do they use the word ‘core’. It reminds me of hardcore music. Which is not very cottage-like.
I have no idea 🙈 cottage like sounds much better
Haha that’s actually where aesthetics got their labels from. Started from the term “ hardcore” music to softcore music and nightcore music and so on 😂
no way!!! @@doublebubblebarb7606
When they attach "core" to a aesthetic, it means that is heavy on something, the person that likes it is a die hard fan and the essence of that aesthetic leans heavily on some particular detail of that aesthetic. It does sound odd, though.
enjoyed this video, but please pronounce the "t" in curtains :)
I’m sorry it bothers you!! I’ve never heard it pronounced any other way🙈 I looked it up as well because I was confused but I see its pronounced with the t in the UK but it’s not as common in America so I guess it just depends on the person? I don’t know what to say, sorry it bothers you
@@justlanchensome places in the UK don’t pronounce the T I’m from Liverpool and we don’t pronounce it
Thank you for saying this🫶🤍
I have been and will continue to be implementing these myriad ideas in my Home. I just discovered the PERFECT café curtain and valance for the French picture window above my sink in the kitchen! Next, I will be working on sewing a curtain for the currently unattractive vanity in my upstairs bathroom as well as numerous Bedskirts!! Thank you, the example photos in this video were exceptionally dreamy. 🖤🪞
