Us Chicanos we’re styling back in the late 70’s to the late 80’s, everything was starched & creased down,Stacy Adams and Imperials were always spit shined, our hair was always short and slick back or you went with the pompadour but what was great during those times, there was no red or blue, no Norteno or Sureno bullshit, just good times & looking sharp!

I just wanted to fit in but my jefita didn’t like me dressing, so I dressed like a surfer. I was lost didn’t know till I took this Chicano class then I realized that I should embrace my cultura. Now that I turned 60 I wear Dickies, I bought a Danny De La Paz signature hat. I’m like wine, I got better with time. This guy down the street grew up in El Monte, Califas 626. Respeto to all the Raza
