Yes, there were some benefits to it. But not all temples were spared. Some were demolished. Raajaa was a Saradaara of Mughals and conquered land for them. But he was Dhaarmika too and did a lot for Hindudharma. Many Dhaarmika men in anti-Hindu political parties are in same predicament as the Raajaa. Hindu unity can only beat such behavior.

Nice work by Upword. Its was indeed a complex political landscape during the dark ages of Islamic rule in India. Many such kings safe guarded Hindus for 500 years. Of course Rana Pratap is the greatest giving up life for the country, but these kings who compromised also created safe havens. Other examples Mysuru and Trivandrum had to compromise as opposed to say Marathas who were victors in many wars.
Narration and the accompanying animation are too good. So many things to learn and also unlearn from our history.

Dharma can never be protected by following the footsteps of Man Singh.
Raja Maan Singh is also credited to have built the Kund Temple in saidpur village in Islamabad, Pakistan's capital city.
Right now, it's the only temple in the city. He built that on his way back from Kabul to Dehli after crushing the rebellious afghan tribes in the region.
Although i disagree with the narrative of the video, not everything is to be justified on religious grounds, kings in the past were pragmatic and acted on what suited their interest the best, maan singh was no different. He should be celerated for his brilliance as a the most successful Rajput general, and administrator. You do not have to justify his actions in modern context of hindu vs Muslim, in medieval period alliances were made by ruling elites and power brokers on pragmatic grounds.
Nevertheless Maan Singh was to Akbar what Subutai was to Changiz Khan, a trusted military General who can be credited for the rapid expansion of their empire.

Religion acts as a moral guide to a ruler. Religion guide how a defeated kingdom and their people are going to treated by a conqueror.
In case of hindu ruler,They are bounded by the moral and ethics of their religion. Muslim ruler were too bounded by their religion,but their religion justify the killing of non believers.
However what you have said that this shouldn't apply to modern hindu vs Muslim conquest is wrong. muslim religion is still today intolerable to non muslims as it was before.

The Battle of Haldighati was inconclusive, that we must remember and the Mughal army after Man Singh went to Agra was like prisoners locked in the Aravalli Hills.
But it is not factually correct that Man Singh won the Haldighati Battle.
But Man Singh won 76 out of 77 battles in his lifetime.
