Nice to see you back Gary. Even if it’s a run! I’ve had a different problem with my watch in the past (Fenix 6s) I bought from Amazon. I went directly to Garmin who within 10 days had sent me a replacement. I just had to provide a receipt. Good luck!
Thanks Michael! I'm trying to get back into it now 😀 that service sounds really good. I've been wanting to contact Garmin directly but their offices are shut until Tuesday. I'll get in touch with them and see if they can help too. I may even do a second video! Thanks for watching and hope your training is going well
Ahh sorry to hear about the watch! That is a nasty sounding rattle!!!! Hope you manage to get it sorted!! Good to see you back look after yourself and have a good 2022
Thank you! 😀 Good to be back. Thankfully wiggle have confirmed they'll replace or give a voucher if I prefer. So it should turn out alright luckily! Hope you both have a great 2022 as well 🙏
i have it on my 6x pro sadly.. exact the same wrong sound but seems like this doesn't make any other issues in the future, or does it? :( i'm asking this because in turkey, garmin wants €250 for a total replacement.. unbelievable
Hi, I have exactly the same problem since yesterday I noticed this annoying sound when I hit the pause button during exercise The bad thing is that I live in Iran and our country is embargoed and I don't know how to fix this
Oh no that is such bad luck especially as you may have limited options. It seems quite common and hopefully Garmin have fixed this in the newer models as some people are having these issues only a few weeks after buying it. I hope you find some options which can help you get this fixed or replaced. Thank you for watching.
Same thing just happened to my Fenix 6 Sapphire here in Australia. I contacted Amazon and they immediately sent out a brand new replacement. I hope I don't experience the same issue on the replacement.👍
Hey - I was going to do a further update video on this. Garmin offered a direct replacement. However the retailer (wiggle.co.uk) also offered one, or a voucher. So I got a brand new one without any issues. Like you, I really hope it doesn't happen again as I'll be really disappointed. I nearly upgraded to the Fenix 7 but at double the cost it didn't seem worth it for me. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Good. They gave me a refund after I ordered a replacement so all good. I did originally order the brand new model which came out earlier this week but it was double the cost and not worth it. So went back to original. All good though!
That's annoying. The good thing was Garmin were really good, offered a direct replacement even though it was a few months over warranty. Also my Garmin HRM went faulty too and they upgraded it to a better model for free too. So the service is good at least.
Sorry to hear that. What I would say was Garmin and Wiggle were both really good about it. Garmin offered a full replacement and Wiggle gave a refund (which I then used to buy a new one myself). Hope you get yours sorted.
@@TheWeightliftingTriathlete Garmin offered a replacement but wouldn't confirm whether it would be brand new or a reconditioned one, as it was only 5 weeks old I wanted a new one! I took it back to Currys in the end who swapped it straight fir a new one with no issue.
@@tommcb6016 That is very similar to me actually. Garmin offered refurbed model - that was probably fair as watch was 18 months old. But Wiggle offered a refund. So I got the money back and bought brand new. Glad you got yours sorted! 🙂
Same thing happened to my Fenix 6X pro. Mine is just under 2 years old but this device is meant to be used aggressively and clearly this is a known issue that Garmin needs to deal with. I just got off a chat with them and I can get a replacement for $180 with a 90 day warranty. These watches cost almost as much as a smart phone and I previously had the Fenix 3 for about 2 years until it had some sort of hardware or software issue and just froze up on the BIOS screen. I love my Fenix when it works but Garmin needs to stand behind their products. I can’t afford a new one every 2 years because of manufacturing issues.
I completely agree, it isn't acceptable on such an expensive top end product. Even on the basic models I would be disappointed with it after 1-2 years. Although I used mine a lot, most days, it was just walking/running. Like you say it's meant have be able to withstand hardcore training. I'll see how the Garmin Fenix 7 goes and if anyone has issues with them.
I had the same fault, and replaced 3 watches because of the same fault, first one was after 1.5 month, second was after 3 months, 3rd was after 5 months, so frustrating 🙄🙄🙄

It just happened to me on fenix sapphire 6x! It is 2 and a half years old but I hope to get a replacement
This just started happening with my Descent MK3i also and I just purchased not even 3 months ago.

How did you get on with the return ?

Have the exact same issue and sound on my partners 6S solar, it's only 5 months old....will be returning it

@@TheWeightliftingTriathlete lucky for her was still under warranty so she got a new one see what happens in 6 months 🤣
My experience is that the vibration is better on other garmin models like forerunner or vivoactive
Just started having this with my 6X, purchased May 2021. Garmin offered a refurbished one in exchange for $190 + taxes. Very dissappointing.
5 weeks old and mines doing the same as yours.

Garmin did the right thing and replaced the watch for no charge. I’m very satisfied and happy to have a watch that doesn’t have a bee hive inside. 👍🏼
This is the issue I am having to the letter! Fenix 3 for just under 10 years, "upgrade" to the Fenix 6 to find it can't even last 6 months!
Just got the 7 pro a few days ago and it’s doing this…
Brand new Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Yesterday and it does this.
