tip for endless, you can use ice shroom to freeze everything in a decent amount of time for good crowd-control. (that goes along with doom-shroom!) so it can be easier to clear the giga-gargantuan waves later on, so use those slots wisely Matt!
I wouldn't recommend doom-shroom because it leaves a crater and it's challenging to place ice-shrooms afterwards. I suggest only and specifically ince-shrooms with the imitator to freeze zombies on the last wave (Because that's when the giga-gargantuar arrives) Also, spikerocks are a really good pick when it comes to gargantuars as they pair amazingly with the winter melons and can shut down almost every single wave in no time :)

Most people think that the back row is the safest place for plant, but some zombies endanger that spot such as gravedigger and catapult zombies. all that you have to worry for the middle is basically random bungees and imps that thrown by gargantuars.
Tip for your line-up defense in survival endless: fill the entire back row with pumpkins and the cob slightly in front of the last line. Gloom shrooms also gives a lot of coverage when there's leftover spaces, and maybe they could kill the thrown imp as soon as they land without a single bite *wink wink* . spikerocks is the tank when facing gargantuars.
Also, congratulation on killing another Yeti in survival. Very lucky indeed.
btw, if you only using 2 cob cannons, highly recommend that you bring more insta kill plants such as squash, cherry, jalapeno, etc.

Hey Matt! here some tips for the fog level. Tip1: Did you know that two peashooters can take down a bucket head? Try it!
Tip 2: Tall nuts and puff shrooms can easily take down a pogo or dolphin rider zombies Pogo: place puff shrooms behind a tall nut and the pogo zombeis can't jump over that. Dolphin rider: You can do the same thing like the pogo but with lily pads! Tip3( Last Tip ): To avoid the digger zombies for eating your sunshrooms or any other plant use pumkins. please Matt for the love of god! dont use torchwoods when also using winter melon it just negates the ice effect and thenj your stuck with a very slightly stronger melon pult for 200 extra sun.

Hey Matt! When you get around to playing PVZ 2, I’d highly recommend you to play the Eclise mod instead of the base game as a let's play! It’s basically a more creative version of the game with the same features, while removing the EA portion. Edit: I don't mean to not play the base game at all, just that a series would be more fun in Eclise.
Honestly, itd be better if he played vanilla first, just to get a feel for the base game first and how the mechanics work, really the only roadblock would maybe be big wave beach but that’s it

Hey Matt, you can protect cob cannons using pumpkins! You just have to pumpkin your kernel pults before you upgrade them to the cob cannon. As long as they’re not completely eaten, you can use walnut first aide to fix them up!

Unfortunately the only way to protect cob cannons is by preventing zombies from getting to them. The pool is generally the safest area to place them, although the final flag zombies can spawn on them. To counter this, use an ice shroom right before they come and they will cease to exist. 6 cob cannons are practically required to go forever. But once you do, you basically get 10k a round, which is pretty nice.
Ayo matt. Well done on pvz. I'd recommend team fortress 2. I'd love to see ya play it.

The Split Peas are one of the most efficient plants for getting rid of miner zombies, but putting Pumpkins in the back can also help protect your plants as you already know.

The moment when Matt shea realizes that he could’ve survived the endless mode with the tall nut to stall out the Jalapeño
The pain at 21:17 knowing he could have tall nut stalled the dancer and killed the row with the jalapeno then just kernel pulled the other dancer to at least survive 1 more round
You shouldn't be feeling pain... it was only the first wave anyway. All his plants were dead and he wouldn't have been able to survive much longer. Would've just been a waste of time

Matt, i have to thanks you. i broke up with my gf today and watching this just made me happy and forgot the whole things, but i rlly want you to know that you amek me happy even when the worst comes to me.
cattails are great against individual zombies, but survival endless is where the game spam groups of buckethead, so cattails doesn't belong to survival endless, also gatling pea + torchwood doesn't work because it's terrible against multiple gargantuars.
I recommend spamming sunflower with imitater on flag 1, around 6 rows of sunflower is enough. fill the third column with winter melons, save up to around 7500 sun during flag 3, now plant gloom shoom in 2nd column and last three columns in the pool, PROTECT THEM WITH PUMPKIN IMMEDIATELY. now plant cob cannon. remember not to plant cob cannon at the first column because diggers will get them, also not to plant them at 4+ column in pool because final wave zombie will spawn there. Good luck!
btw I got 193 flags with this strategy
I actually found giga gargantuar at flag 12, but there were a LOT of them, and they DESTROYED ME, even having more than 5 of those corn nuclear bombs
The area of damage for the cob canon is 3x3 so if you aim it on the white area of the pool it will explode the zombies in the pool and on the grass
Little heads up for PvZ 2, because Popcap is now owned by EA that means that PvZ 2 is filled with micro-transactions. Some new plants are paid to use and some plants from PvZ 1 that were free to use are now paid

Hey Matt! Thanks for getting me back into the game after years! Beat it twice + mitigates in just 3 days 🤣 as I've gotten to 50 flags in endless, I recommend using the "ladder strategy" you'll find it all over YT!
[Useless tip] The pots on the roof level actually have faces
Tip : when its almost last wave, let 1 row come to youʼr lawnmower and on last wave that same row wont have eny zombies coming.

Fun fact: Theres another secret zombie called giga football zombie but hes sadly not available in the version youre playing, like the nut allergi zombies

Easy way to make money: Pick any survival level, on the last flag or last two flags just before the level starts or when you get to select your new seeds, pick the marigold, the magnet shroom, and the golden magnet shroom. As the level progresses, at the final wave, try to keep one zombie alive, you can stack it with a wall-nut, or pumpkin. After you have stack your zombie, shovel all your attacking plants and start replacing them with marigolds, then try to have at least two golden magnet shroom so that collecting money from your marigold can be a little bit more easier. This way you can made an afk money farm in pvz 1. Not that the level will not end until the last zombie of the final wave have been defeated, so you can make as much money as you want for as long as you want to.

hey matt, if youre gonna play pvz 2 i reccomend playing the mod, projecet eclise, its a much better experience and also doesnt require as much microtransactions as vanilla pvz 2 does and feels more like a sequel to pvz
hey, dunno if you still play eclise but it degraded a lot by now, every stage is either a gimmick level with one solution or another new mechanic introduction

Tips:
-Bungee Zombies will be killed by 2 or more Gloom-Shrooms.
-Put Spikerocks and/or Gloom-Shrooms in the back, they'll take care of Diggers.
-Pumpkin plants in the back so Imps won't eat them.
-Use a Cob Cannon the instant you see the Zombie Yeti. (Also, the Yeti can also appear on the iPad port.)
Mattshea: sees bungee zombies and brings Umbrella Leaf in the loadout
Also Mattshea: does not place down a single umbrella leaf during the 2 flags

Here is the tip for gargantuars:
If you went survival endless and make 2 or 3 layes of spikerocks so that gargantuar will block them of and put winter melons and umbrella leaf and for gargantuar to get 10 cattails and put pumpkins in the whole map except spikerocks and put 8 gloom shrooms in the pool and also if you have 10 slots and add imitator cherry bomb and normal cherry bomb and jalapeño for 3 slots for 8 9 10 slots and
1 lily pad
2 coffee beans
3 fume shroom
4 gloom shroom
5 melon pult
6 winter melons
7 pumpkin but pumpkin is hard with 1
At least
8 cherry bomb
9 imitator cherry bomb
10 jalapeño and in flag 10 put sunflowers and twin sunflowers
And flag 12 is garlic is there no gargantuar maybe mr yeti zombie comes I don't know yeti zombie will come at 10 12 14 or gargantuar

Hey Matt when you play pvz2 growing plants in it are really helpfully they get powered up after like 5 hours and there all powered up can keep using them Intel the level is over insted of using plant food aka power ups
Put the cob canons in the pool and put a gloomshrom to counter the miners
A quick tip that has a 6% chance to work: When fighting a Gargantuar, you can place a full row of potato mines to actually blow up everything on the map other than the plants. 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
4:04 I always put a backward Sea-shroom there
Tip: when the diggers come, there is an effect on the ground they travel through. You can use the cob cannons to protect themselves by either shooting them while they're in the ground or shooting them when they pop out. It will make things easier because you don't have to replace them as often.
Or maybe, he can just place 2 Gloom-shrooms in the back to prevent them from even spawning?

For the 1st fee rounds I usually use cattials and sunflowers to get to max sun quickly then i use that sun to create a ton of cob cannons and melon pults etc
I like that they made the giga garg more or less replace the normal one to make endless not just spam and it actually has later game new difficult enemies

Putting cob cannons along the backing is not a good idea in endless because digger zombies can eat it and there's no way to put a pumpkin on it. Instead, put another less valuable plant like a sunflower and pumpkin and it will serve to protect the whole row of plants. Some people also use 2 gloom shrooms with pumpkins to kill the diggers
PvZ Logic:
The magnet-shroom can only get iron or steel stuff but did you know gymnast zombie (those metal thingy) cannot get by magnet-shroom
2: Catapult
Many catapult hits at the air but did you know they can't hit balloon zombie
Hey Matt, in case you didn't know flaming peas actually have a small area of effect for some reason, so I would reccomend using either only winter melons with glooms and cob cannons for endless, or just torchwood with gatling pea

Tip: When using gloom shrooms, on pool levels use 2 rows adjacent to pool rows and on regular levels either use 3 gloom rows with one in the middle and 2 on each side farthest from the middle, or glooms in the rows adjacent to the middle. Ofc, be sure to add 1 or 2 spikerocks/weeds in front of the garlics for zomboni protection, and you know that you should have them in between the glooms. Thanks for reading!

You just have to make it to adventure mode then a certain level its not lucky it’s just hard to get to it

quick tip: you can earn money in a normal level if you use the imitator for another wall nut/ tall nut to keep the zombies away form the mari golds. you can also use garlics on some lanes to save some sun.
