- A glimpse of Alto Douro Wine Region, Portugal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where wine has been produced for some 2000 years and an outstanding example of a traditional European wine-producing region.
It's also the place where my grandparents lived and where I spent many summer vacations. It brings back so many good memories.

My recommendation in Porto is : visit Jardim do Morro in Vila Nova de Gaia and after the sunset have a dinner in Bistrô Bom Gosto, the same side of the river. They have a fantastic food.

Hugo, great video, I enjoy photography and have made a few videos myself so I know it takes a lot of time.I'm going to share the video with some friends, we have been planning a trip to Porto to visit the vineyards and taste some wine. when would you suggest is a good time of year?
John Sen Thank you, John. Porto is a beautiful city. I would say that any time is a good time to visit the Douro Valley. But if you want to see the grape harvesting, then I would suggest somewhere in the middle of September (the harvest season depends on the weather conditions). I hope you enjoy your trip.
