My personal opinion, the capacitors change the electric phase 180 degrees so it wouldn't be so effective in hi-rpm if one would try to apply this in his engines. The spark is greater but the timing is laging behind.
Surely the 180° phase is instantaneous through the capacitor? Or if not, advance the timing a little?

Series because .... each capacitor is 15kv, 3x series gives 45kv handling. 15kv too low for ignition. They will fail

When installing on old cars 3 capacitors on the aspirator, there is no strong spark on the spacers, but when installing on the spacecraft, the spark comes out, but if 3 capacitors are installed on each side of the car, it does not work. What is the reason? Thank you.

I used this setup for almost 2 years in my daily driven car as I lived in Germany. I made one or two videos about that. Check those out.
Very interesting I thought it would make no difference or be better with the carbon core. The MSD ignitions specifiy that you should not use copper core wires. here is a blurb from one of the sites solid core spark plug wires CANNOT be used with MSD ignition. Apparently The MSD box is very sensitive to whats called RF frequency spurious emissions. I will still try it though.

I guess there is a way, you could use both wires without difference if the capacitors connection were made in the tip of the plug so the wire resistance will be eliminated. So u can use watever your system was designed for. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Why do manufacturers not do this? It seems so easy and cheap. Is there a problem really? Does it work in practise with the plug in the engine under pressure?

Under compression electrons actually travel better. Compression forces atoms closer together. I knew this to be the case when messing with hydrogen fuel cells as under vacuum the amps drop and under atmospheric pressure the amp draw is higher, but then I saw a live display of an engine running with a clear display so you could see the ignition. I was expecting to see something even dimmer than what we normally see with spark out in the open (dim and barely visible), but the spark was way brighter. It clicked for me then that compression increases current no matter what the application is.

@@waynesanders1406 has nothing to do with "Under compression electrons actually travel better" you need to study basic physics. vacuum removes pressure. liquids becomes gas more easily as the ambient pressure drops. daltons law. therefore basic thermodynamics, requires less energy to do the work.
who would have thought it would be faster and easier to read a book on basic physics, rather than do a bunch of experiments and come up with the wrong answer and not knowing it.

No, I don't. This box is just a 555 based igniter. You can find many schematics for this on internet.
Why does a bu gi don't spread the sparks?
Is it possible also to connect a lower voltage high current source (isolated by diodes) across the spark plug? For example use an inverter to charge a capacitor to several hundred volts. The capacitor would not discharge until the plasma spark lowers the spark gap resistance, then both high voltage low current and low voltage high current would combine to give high energy spark.

Lox Straw'hat, just go ahead try it. I don't know if it would work or not. It depends on your ignition coil. My suggestion is to use around 100 pF / 30 kV capacitor.

It can be fixed anywhere on the engine but the shorter the connection to the spark plug the better.

The voltage rating has to be at least 20 kV otherwise you will destroy the capacitor.

The reason why this works with a nonresistor spark plug but not with a resistor spark plug should be explained.
The high voltage source is wrongly addressed and it must be looked upon as a current source, so without the capacitors, while the spark plug is not firing the voltage will build up and when it fires, the current is only that supplied the current of the current source.
With the capacitors, the current source is charging the capacitors, and when the spark plug fires, the energy stored and memorized in the capacitors is discharged fast and the capacitors appear to be a " TEMPORARY" voltage source discharging into the spark gap.
If the sparking plug has a resistor in series with it, the discharge of the capacitor will be slow as the gap is still being fed from a current source due to the series plug high resistor appearing to be the output impedance of the source.
This is a situation where students should get used to learning about the behavior of current and voltage sources and their output impedances. Matching the correct load to a current and voltage source is important in electrical engineering and a spark plug should never be continuously fed from a " high voltage source" with a low output impedance.
It works with the resistor plug, just not as easy to see in this video. Look for his other video on the same subject, the lighting is better for the results, and he hooks up two sets of capacitors in addition to one. (I find this fascinating).

Pemasangan kapasitor semakin dekat dengan busi semakin baik. Kalau kapasitas kapasitornya terlalu besar, apinya tidak akan keluar.

This system will not work on spark plug with resistor.
I would not recommend connecting from ground to spark plug cap directly. The high current from the Coil might blow the caps so run a separate circuit with a relay with a fuse and toggle switch.
Beware. All iridium plugs are resistor plugs. Also check your plug cap and ht lead are not resistive
Any resistance between the capacitor and spark plug gap forms a voltage divider. The resistance of the spark at the gap would only be a few ohms. Put ~6k ohm in series with it, and nearly 100% of the energy in the capacitor is uselessly wasted in the resistance.

Kalau pakai sistim ini, kapasitornya harus dipasang paralel dengan busi. Ini adalah cara paling gampang untuk memperbesar percikan pengapian.

Wkt sy kasih tiap busi 1 set (3kapasitor seri) tidak ada perubahan apapun wkt dikasih 2set (diparalel dg yg pertama) ada perubahan tapi sedikit. Krn kl mobil direct igniton coil kan ga bisa ambil/colokin kabel yg lgs ke businya. Jadi sy ambil di kabel +coil. Apakah bisa om?

capasitornya per 1 cylinder cukup 3 pc saja atau boleh lebih pak klo utk mobil.
Satu set kapasitor per busi bukan per silinder, karena ada mesin yang punya busi lebih dari satu per silindernya. Saya pakai sistem ini di mobil yang saya kendarai setiap hari sudah lebih dari satu tahun.

How is going? , saya pernah coba di Kia Sportage 2007 dengan sistem trigger yang dikontrol oleh komputer/ECU (sepertinya begitu, maaf masih meraba raba), saat dikoneksikan seperti video terasa sekali getaran mesin alias menjadi terasa pincang. . Kabel koneksi antara Cap & Distributor coil yang digunakan apakah mempengaruhi? Mohon pencerahannya. Thanks.
Kemungkinan waktu kapasitornya dipasang malah businya tidak mengeluarkan percikan api, jadi putaran mesinnya pincang. Harus diperiksa lagi apakah nilai kapasitornya sama dengan punya saya, apakah kabel businya tipe tanpa hambatan dan apakah businya juga yang non-resistor. Kalau semuanya sudah sama dengan yang di video ini, seharusnya akan jalan.

I think either you are telling stories, or you evidently did not connect the circuit up properly. Anyone with half a sense of electronics will see what you said is impossible as the ignition has to be ON for the circuit to work. So, I think it could be resolved you left something turned on ?

I will buy one capacitor for every coil but I didn't know for working good... I have the coil with 3 pin (+ and - and "hz" Trigger) I bridge the exit with ground I hope working them!!!
Fragkiskos Piperis, I don't know if you can find space to mount a capacitor on such coil. Maybe you need to replace your coil with external type. Anyway, If your ignition system is already perfect, this modification will not make any improvement to your engine.
Okki Moeljadi I Have GQ15 engine and some people on UA-cam changed the ignition with CDI system internally... Find them on this video... "test coil Nissan QG15 internal igniter with JSK Hybrid CDI" I buy 50kv one time to try external with one capacitor!!!
I find to buy CT81 high voltage ceramic capacitors 50KV222M I hope do not problem with ark before spark... The CDI change the frequency but the capacitor its stronger ignition... (Simple plasma!!!)

Dantos Rock, saya cuma pakai IC 555 dan transistor bipolar. Untuk transistornya bisa juga pakai 3055. Frekuensinya maksimal sekitar 200 Hz dengan lebar pulsa sekitar 50%.

Dantos Rock, kalau pakai trafo flyback bisa untuk frekuensi lebih tinggi. Tapi apinya belum tentu lebih besar. Kalau mau api besar harus pakai booster pengapian.

Kenyataannya pada saat ini kalau kita mau belajar komputer atau pemrograman komputer kita harus bisa bahasa Inggris. Dan saya yakin jika anda tidak bisa berbahasa Inggris, anda pasti punya teman dekat atau tetangga yang bisa membantu anda untuk menterjemahkan kedalam bahasa Indonesia. Menurut saya, tidak bisa berbahasa Inggris bukan alasan buat kita untuk tidak bisa maju. Kita hanya harus lebih giat belajar.
