Acknowledge the value of your country man! I'm from turkey, and I bought the same car here for 62.000 Turkish liras and the car is in its 182. 000 km s had a few accidents in its past. Imagine paying 62000 dollars for this car. I am a police officer here and I can only afford this car
No major repairs such as the drive train. Just minor ones as recharge a/c , water pump, coil packs, upper cam seals, drive/ timing belts, usual stuff. Keep it maintained and it will last a long time. 2006 rio owner here well out of warranty at 160k miles and still runs strong.

That's a shame you hated a car that held strong like that, but hey, it's your decision. It's hard to find cars that are reliable like that. Kansas Man I mean everyone has a right to their own preference. I got the car and it did my well but everyone likes new things here and there. I now regret this as I sold the Kia 2 weeks ago and bought a brand new VW Jetta...the computer failed when I was driving home from the lot
I am the same way with liking new things here and there. I've owned MANY cars over the years, and regret getting rid of some of them, so I know that feeling of regretting letting go a solid car. That sucks that the computer failed on your new car, but on the bright side, the dealership more than likely will fix it for free or for little charge because of the warranty.
DamuEmran a/c is completely absent. If you look inside the engine compartment you will see an idler pulley in the place of the a/c compressor pulley. The controls on the console might still be there though, even though you won't have cold air-conditioned air
I love my 09 Kia Rio LX. Going to hit 150k soon and has not giving me any major problems.
