Oh, I LOVE the idea that Golden Freddy was standing outside Michael's room. That makes perfect sense on why he would suddenly break a window in a hurry and sprint into the woods in the rain. That scene has always bothered me!
I’m not gonna lie, this is probably the closet someone has gotten to solving the lore. The only issue I have is that in Sister Location, HandUnit says that Circus Baby’s was created AFTER the closure of Freddy FazBear’s Pizza. Other than that, this is flawless.
That is true though which Freddy location is questionable, since there have been a lot of them close. HandUint could be talking about any of them. Tho my first choice is either the Fnaf 2 location. Since I feel logically that gives William enough time(years most likely) to set up AftonRobotics and Circus Baby’s Rental location. My second idea is that he is talking about the Fnaf 1 location, since sometimes after Mike S. Gets fired it’s confirmed in Fnaf 3 that place also closes down. Although that gives William very less time to set up Baby Rental place.

The explanation of midnight motorist is awesome. That actually makes a ton of sense. JRs could be a bar, he was going to get drunk as hell after he killed Charlotte and they asked for William to leave, presumably because he’s a heavy drinker and causes problems, fights, etc.

I may not be sure about the exact timeline you made here, but that explanation of Midnight motorist is absolutely perfect, golden Freddy standing outside of Michaels window and mike running out to his brothers grave is a really chilling scene and has been officially assimilated into my headcanon plus good ol Mr. purple plague of rage going back to get his original bonnie suit to intimidate the funtimes is also really cool
I think an underrated piece of evidence for Michael being the protagonist of the original games is how a part of Freddy’s music box plays in his sister location cutscene, like it’s alluding to his past adventures, which would include FNAF 1.
Certainly don't fully agree with every part of the theory, but I think the section on Midnight Motorist is super interesting and might genuinely be the intended interpretation. We never do see the inside of the bedroom after all, so just assuming it is the Crying Child's is just that: an assumption. I also think the link to the Staff Bot Family is a really inventive pull that despite being outside the box doesn't feel like a reach at all. Excellent work with the theory overall.
At first I wasn't sure if I'd believe it, but after you explained it, I think this is a very solid theory. I especially like the detail of "that place" in MM being the graveyard, that's something I had never heard before! And if makes sense. I used to think Elizabeth was first, given that her room is empty in the fnaf 4 minigames, and Ballora sings about an empty room, but it could very well be all a coincidence. Like you said, then William's motive is unexplained. One thing that confuses me is who you say is William's wife, in midnight motorist, speaks in a similar color to Michael's in fnaf 4. That's weird. But still, this is a really interesting theory. This is good, keep up the good work!
Yeah, but Golden Freddy also speaks to Evan in yellow, the same color as William’s words. Unless we can prove that William is somehow a golden Freddy plush, then the color of words doesn’t really work as solid evidence.
Did you know the eye changing part of fnaf is from an old saying that "the eyes are the window to the soul", or to be more acurate; looking into someone's eyes can tell you a lot about them without even talking to them. That's why the eye colour is so important in FNAF; a series heavily dedicated to the lore of certain souls.
I didn't think there was any way to give a satisfying explanation to Midnight Motorist, but you did it. It's so poetic as well. I guess I was just too caught up in thinking the person in front of the tv was Michael that I never even considered that Michael might actually be in the room.
A more cohesive version of what I said in live chat: One joke video, 'An Undeniably Canon FNaF timeline' said that William kept the springlocks in place with duck tape. This would explain the suit not snapping when he used it after the first location that used spring bonnie closed. But when he got in it the time it crunched him, either he was too hasty and the tape came off, or time and water made it wear off, and the movement of putting it on broke the remaining tape threads.
I've also seen people say that maybe the Glitchtrap fur suit actually existed which would be waterproof and William was in that to solve the spring lock problem
i figured the springlock suits werent actually as dangerous as we think they were which would make sense why they would still use the springlock suits and let workers who arent professionals when it comes to the suits wear them after the suits springlocks were wound up properly instead of just having multiple suits, and it explains why we only have 3 characters that are believed to be victims of springlock failures with only 1 confirmed (springtrap, shadow freddy, and shadow bonnie) and the springlock suits were just kept in storage or kept by william and stored in the saferooms of the fazbear locations, either way letting william have access to the springbonnie suit and keep it repaired to keep the springlocks reliable, and the springlock failure that caused springtrap only happened because of a mix of the springbonnie suit being stored away for so long to were the suit was starting to decay a little and become less reliable, the decay of the location which caused leaks in the saferoom which caused the suit to be damp while sitting in a humid area making the springlocks more likely to slip, and william trying to put the suit on quickly before having time to fix it to try scarring off the 5 spirits

This is an interesting theory, I like how it puts all the pieces together. I've always interpreted it as the first MCI coming first. Obviously there is the chica deathlike in ucn of 'i was the first I have seen everything' (which could just mean first victim of the MCI not the whole thing, but the fact she has seen everything suggests first victim overall). Charlie's death happening after this makes more sense to me too as there is references to staff not being allowed in locations (FNAF 2, midnight motorist and Jr's) after kids go missing, which is why he had to kill her outside (going against his MO). The other deaths, I honestly have no idea about the order though. As you said, a lot of it is contradictory
Chica was just the first from her perspective '-' Also it doesn't make much sense, it's not like she was killed and stuffed in Chica soon after, the other kids probably were killed almost at the same time and she was just the first to be put in an Animatronic, then she would be able to see the rest.
Elizabeth makes sense to be the first or even second (maybe after one of the missing children’s incidents) because she (as circus baby) says how important knowing how to pretend is, he seems to know aLOT about springlock suits, so she might’ve even known or overheard things about her father, though that doesn’t make a ton of sense since then she’d probably be less excited about the funtimes (her fathers creations) so maybe instead she was killed first but then grew restless and angry from trying so hard to be perfect, being influenced by the other restless spirits and witnessing the deaths of the others by the hands of her father
Also a possibility for if Evan was rhe one having the nightmares in fnaf 4 His fear of the springlock animatronics would likely start from the death of his sister and maybe his own father aswell, his sister being scooped would be the reason for the stomach mouthed animatronics bur of course this could be applied to Micheal, though I think it also makes sense of it’s Even due to the fact him having such bad nightmares right after his sisters death (because in game you play as a small child, not a teenager as Michael tends to be portrayed as) and feeling alone (due to his bullying) would result in that and the specific fear of the freadbear animatronic too
I love this interpretation :) The only thing I think could change is when Mike was scooped. I believe it to have been just before William was springlocked because William had to tell him about the sister location facility before dying and spending 30 years in the backroom, because there wouldn't be any way for William to tell this information to Mike otherwise, and i would think that Mike would have gone to the sister location as soon as this was reveled to him. So maybe he tells Mike about going to find Elizabeth, then very soon after this William goes to get springlocked and confined, Mike goes either at the same time as this is happening or little time later after he expects for William to return or contact him again but he doesn't find him and he doesn't respond because he's dead already so NOW he definitely has to go to this SL place. Then his line about "i'm going to come find you" would make sense, since the line implies that he's saying this some time after being scooped ("i've been living in the shadows") and that he doesn't know where William might be after the last time he saw or heard of him which was when he got the SL info (either he could have been in the Pizzeria which Fazz. entert. helped to cover up the location of the saferoom as soon as possible, or in Fazzbear Frights if this was the future then it wouldn't make sense for Mike to not find Springtrap in the rubble). Idk. It could be whatever. But i like that you try to separate the assumptions from the actual info that we have and reevaluate it according to it. I also i'm of those who think that Evan is the protag of FNAF 4, that's maybe more of more speculation and headcanon if you will but the security Logbook Fredbear drawing could have been just another way Foxy bro Mike used to tease Evan when he was alive just like the other kids did. The kids in the neighborhood are the ones that are also spreading rumors and making up stories about the animatronics, and Mike being a natural artist (he likes to draw at least) could have made that drawing before to scare Evan altering his favorite character (fredbear i would assume) among the usual teasing with scaring him with foxy and bullying him with the kiss freddy thing and stuff. So That would explain why Evan (if he is the protag) sees Freadbear in his deadbed just like how Mike drew it in the security logbook and how does Mike knows about it with such precision, asking if Evan (has dreams) still sees him in his dreams/nightmares. That is implying that Evan has seen this version of Fredbear before, and before his dead he constantly saw it in his nightmares enough for Mike to ask if he has dreams and to specifically draw nightmare there. Who knows. It's just fun to think about.
man, that's such a good point, because one of the problems a had with Michael being the protag of the fnaf 4 is that the nightmare animatronics don't appear as hallucinations in fnaf 3

Perhaps Evan Afton was afraid of the animatronics because he witnessed one of the spring lock failures that Phone Guy mentioned in _Five Nights at Freddy's 3._ Regardless of what the answer to that question is, I'm really, _really_ hoping that some huge, major questions about the lore of the franchise such as these are answered once the _FNaF_ film is released. (Edit: I now believe that whatever Evan Afton saw was most likely his sister Elizabeth Afton being scooped by the Circus Baby animatronic. This would make sense to me, as it would explain why Nightmare Fredbear has a mouth on his stomach, because, to a child, Baby's stomach hatch opening up and essentially "swallowing" Elizabeth whole probably looked almost as if Baby was eating Liz from her stomach.

Love the theory you wove. Two things that always bugged me is the claim that Charlie was the first death (for the exact reason you stated, why would the security puppet exist already) and that both Charlie (through Henry) and Chica claim first victim status. Glad your theory addressed one of those, hopefully one day we'll know the full story.
I think another factor as well as to why William killed Charlie is revenge. Not only for Henry seemingly having a perfect family but if he and William worked on the springlock suits together, then after Evan gets bitten, couldn't he not only blame Micheal but also Henry which then leads to him killing Charlie? It fits into your theory without any problems and gives more motivation for William to kill, IMO.
it occurs to me now that: with this theory, does that make midnight motorist the first chronological depiction of william afton in a minigame? because that could imply the purple reflects some form of corruption over time (rather than exclusively being stylistic). after all, we see michael turn purple once he's literally been altered (and undead!) post-scoop. william might be 'warped' by grief or 'feel dead inside' and thus be depicted as purple once his last living child leaves -?
You forgot to mention that the night guard in fnaf1/fnaf3 is named “Mike Shmidt” which could be Michael using his mothers maiden name as an alias so that he isn’t ousted as the murder-er’s son.

For the Nightmare animatronics, they're created with illusion discs that Afton used on Evan, then later on Michael. We get confirmations theyre illusions Afton designed in UCN. "I am your terror made flesh" "I assure you, I'm real" "There is more than an illusion to fear this time" Etc...
I truly think this is the best timeline we got. It makes sense and it fits the story. I still believe fnaf 4 is the coma dream of evan, but other than that.
Yeah fnaf 4 will always be Evan's last comatose moments, since it explains the grandfather clock alarm, iv bags and flowers, fredbear, and nightmare animatronics being the literal embodiment of death waiting to take Evan to his inevitable demise. Especially when you take into account that fnaf 4 was originally supposed to be the finale to the series, all we know of Michael Afton at that point was that he was a jerk brother that got his sibling mutilated, intentionally or otherwise. Narrative wise, it just doesn't make sense for the player to be Michael in fnaf 4
Actually I think that maybe we can speculate that the yellow/orange man is William Afton before he killed anyone. We know Scott used different color schemes to symbolize each character so maybe once William began killing, his color goes from yellow to purple, and guess what: the opposite and complimentary color of yellow on the color wheel is purple. Maybe it means it's too late for him and he can't be saved, idk Feel free to prove me wrong, but i think there is a meaning there

Having played FNAF3 just a few days ago, I have a theory that could explain Evan's fear of the Animatronics. In the recorded Tapes it is stated, that the Springlock Suits are not to be worn, because of "multiple and simultanius Springlock failures". Maybe Evan saw a Springlock snap on an employee. That combined with his vivid imagination of someone being eaten by the animatronic (while they were just puting on the suit) could result in his thoughts being: "If the Suit gets you, you get eaten by it, stabbed by it and you could die from it" or something. First the Tapes say "These Suits should not be worn, but do as you wish", after a smaller Springlock accident, that Evan saw happening. And the next day is the birthday party and he gets chomped by the Golden Freddy Animatronic, so now the management says "DO NOT WEAR THESE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE", since Evan dies from the bite. That's my two cents on the matter anyway, so what do you think about it?

I still place MCI and DCI as before the creation of the funtimes and feel his interest in Remnant was due to seeing paranormal activity from the possessed FNAF 1 animatronics. I do believe your interpretation of MM, though, and will adopt into my headcanon going forward

Mini theory i think you would appreciate; you had mentioned that henry is responsible for the classic's, springlocks, and puppet but i also suggest that he is responsible for most if not all of the fazbear simulator animatronics (buyable ones) we see that the mediocre melodies are in the style of the classics and are likely improved variations, in addition el chip has a similar build to the rockstar animatronics, which interestingly enough the rockstar freddy has a purple hat and tie. This is just a mini theory but it explains the fnaf 6 animatronics.
I do like these theories but I still feel Elizabeth died first, and that Evan saw his sisters death, this could lead to his fear since he actually loves the regular animatronics but is afraid of the Golden ones. That strikes me as odd but if he's afraid of them cause they are the only ones that people can actually get into that could also further his fear and the giant abdomen mouth on the bottom of the golden Fredbear and the shadow Fredbear. also it makes sense that Michael is the one in fnaf 4 being tormented not only cause of the drawing but also cause it could be that Afton blamed Michael for his sons death. but im not sure if i agree with michael working at both locations i do think however he as been to both locations or atleast the fnaf 2 once due to his halucinations of the core animatronics there Especially withered Phantom freddy and the puppet so he probably did often run off to the fnaf 2 location to find his brother if the foot prints outside were golden freddys but i dont have a fully theory yet but this is helping me alot im glad that we all can come together and make theories as a team
The funtimes only attack if one child is in the room, so nobody saw Elizabeth death. Fnaf 4 was going to be to end so Elizabeth dieing first is pointless, when we go into the empty sister room there a broken Mangle toy, that broken Mangle toy is evidence that it had been played with, Also you you believe MCI85 that means Elizabeth died in 1985 because The funtime were made to experiment on remnant, William couldn't have discovered remnant until after he killed Charlie or the Mci.
There doesn't have to be any reason for a child's fear at all. In fact, Micheal could have exaggerated it in Evan from feeling slightly uncomfortable to genuine paralysing fear. He could have told him made up stories about them. Your version messes up the timeline
One thing I just remembered due to an ID Fantacy short is that William had to have died before phone guy. Because phone guy is the one that tells us about them sealing off all of the safe rooms (presumably to hide the rabbit corpse) in fnaf 3. So William dies somewhere between fnaf 2 and 1.
I have one slight issue with the end of the theory. During the final SL cutscene, Micheal says William told him to go find Elizabeth at the SL. This implies that the two were still in contact.
The fact that most of the comments actually agree with you is telling. This is FNAF, one of the most decided fanbases ever. Hell, the whole “Evan being the BV” is STILL being hotly debated like a year after the post about logbook puzzle. After security breach came out, I kinda dipped from even caring abt FNAF but finding ur channel has genuinely made me brain storm about this seires like I used too. This theory ESPECIALLY. 16:30 Theoretically also possible: Evan saw an Employee dying in the Springlock suit. In Fazbear Frights it's implied Employees have died in one even before the failures that shut the use of the suits down, since they literally tell you to move away from crowds before bleeding out as to not ruin the customer experience. Obviously, just an idea, nothing based on much, but a possibility.
This theory makes a lot of sense and the only part that sounds like a strech is Evans fear, maybe he is afraid because he entered Henry workshop,by accident or unpurpose, and saw the endoskeletons; It's a little speculation but it reasonable since his dad and Henry are partners
To explain Evan's fear, maybe he saw an employee get springlocked and its scares the ever living shit of him. If I was kid and I just watched what I assumed was just a fun mascot that I've more then likely grow up around suddenly lock up, start violently shaking and screaming, all the while blood is pouring out of the suit, I would not want to be anywhere near another Freddy's location.
The ways you talk about Ennard-era Michael never fails to make me laugh. Never have I ever thought I'd hear the phrase "piloted like a flesh Gundam" or "self-resurrected as a walking flesh-bag," but these are GLORIOUS.
I really don't think the mound in the woods of Midnight Motorist is Evan's grave. It doesn't make sense; if Evan survives his bite long enough to go to the hospital (explaining the hospital paraphenalia in FNAF 4), then how did he end up in an unmarked grave in the woods? He wasn't murdered and covered up, his death was a legitimate accident for which he recieved medical treatment. One exciting possibility is that the mound is SISTER LOCATION'S BUNKER entrance. The SL map shows the FNAF 4 house is adjacent to the bunker, not right on top of it, and if Michael has some knowledge of how the animatronics are operated his being the protagonist of most of the games is more believable. The appearance of Fredbear/Evan outside his window may have prompted him to run to the bunker to escape, or to use its controls to communicate with Evan.
4:04 Springtrap being confused in his jumpscare for finding out his own son is the guard is something that I could have never thought on my own. It's really genius and cool.
10:23 It's made very clear that Fredbear's and Freddy's were both open at the same time at one point becouse on the night 4 phone call from FNaF 3, Phone Guy mentions an incident at the *sister location* which resulted in multiple and simultaneous springlock failures that causes the springlock suits to get retired. What sister location could he talk about if not Fredbear's? This also proves that Fredbear's didn't close due to the bite of '83 but it closed becouse of the springlock failure mentioned in the phone call (since the bite has to take place before the spinglock failure becouse we literally see 2 springlock suits in the 3rd FNaF 4 minigame). Also, are you ever gonna make a video about the FNaC story? Since you made a video about the POGGERS EVERGREEN lore and both of these fangames take place in the same universe.

And honestly that 1 gives me my biggest confirmation on that Since one of scraptraps "is bitter sweet but fitting" And knowing what we know about William I think it's safe to say Michael is the only Person who William Would be a little somber about killin. I love this, but I still like to think that Elizabeth died before Evan. Since Elizabeth is missing from the Fnaf4 minigames, I think that's the event that caused Ms Afton to probably leave and William isolating himself. That's why the remaining brothers were so independent and unsupervised throughout the course of the game. It wouldn't really explain why William would build the Funtimes before killing any kids but honestly, I think Charlotte might have been the one to go first. Security measures are pretty common in establishments without previous child-killing cases anyway, so I think it wouldn't be far fetched for Henry to have security in place before any murders. Finding out that something was going on with these animatronics through Elizabeth is what led William to continuing those murders. At the same time, I think I prefer your narrative of William not originally being a killer, but inspired from his kid's death. Makes him a much deeper character. Great job!
There's another point that can back up what you said about Midnight Motorist, and the person watching TV not being Michael. "Leave him alone tonight, he had a rough day." would be SUCH a strange thing for a child to say to an abusive parent about their sibling (whom they bully). However, it would be a COMPLETELY normal thing for a wife to say to her husband, who she knows has a bit of an anger problem, if she knows her child (whom she loves and cares about) had a rough day.
I think the only concern I have for the theory is W.Chica's voice line in ucn saying she was the first, it could be that she was the first of the first lot of the missing children, but for another take on things, William could have done the first missing children's incident, which prompted the creation of the puppet.

On the SL ending where Michael "speaks" to William he states "It was right where you said it would be" and "I put her back together, just like you asked me to", so Michael went to the sister location on a mission set by William. This wasn't addressed in your theory but you put up a solid framework for us to work through this point. I will certainly be thinking about this a lot.
The theories you made here are very interesting and great. but I personally believe that Elizabeth's death happens after the first missing childen incident; this is because, why would William create the funtimes if doesn't even know that animatronics can be possesed. and while your story of William seeing Fredbear moving does sound logical, it just feels a bit of a strech. I believe William sensed a change in the animatronics in the first Freddy's location, and discovered the dead bodies of his victims in the animatronics, (remember that the puppet is the one who stuffed the kids in the animatronics, not William) and came to the idea that he can bring his son Evan back to life, and so he creates the funtimes, and the rest ensues. but that's just my opinion.
Actually, the theory that Mike Afton is the main protagonist in FNAF 4 is relevant since the drawing of Nightmare Fredbear was drawn with a red pen, the colour that he used to wrote in the security log book.
That's something that should be discussed. When you think about it, if our next protagonist is Elizabeth in the Ruin DLC, is it possible that Cassidy would be the next big bad? Considering if we do kill Afton in the DLC, it's possible that Cassidy would be upset that she didn't get her revenge.
Ballora sings "no more joy, an empty tomb" and elizabeth's room being empty too isnt a coincidence, they tie together perfectly. the fact that in FNAF 4 her room is empty and the nightmare animatronics having teeth in their stomachs, it only makes sense that CC witnessed his sister's death so timeline wise, elizabeth died before CC. but the only thing that doesnt make sense is the exact timeline SL and FNAF 4 take place and the relation to one another. since Eli died before CC, that means that the player plays as CC in FNAF 4 and not mike. but then when you consider the fact that Mike went to SL to 'look for a job' , it means that CC died around the time mike got that job at SL. also, if we're really playing as Mike in FNAF 4 then why do the nightmares have teeth in their stomachs since mike didnt witness eli's death? and if we're really playing as Mike, that would mean CC's death had already taken place by the time this happens.

Great video Toast. Honestly there is one thing the Fnaf lore that I think needs to talk about more. C.C./Even/Chis soul location and dying situation. You use GoldenDuo in this so I might as well say some of stuff. Big question I always had. If Evan is in an Animatronic like GFreddy perhaps. Why is no one in the Afton family actually look for him, found him or help him? Aka why didn’t William or Michael pull a Sister Location’ for CC? In other break him out of the pizzeria he’s in. Or even better Repair his body? Think about it. Will set his Mike to go get his sister that died, out of the rental thing location. Meaning both of them knows that her ghost in a machine. Michael after telling us and his father use the words and I “Quote, “Put Her Back Together”. Words that we seen before in the last game before SL, in Fnaf 4. But why not do the same thing for the younger brother!? William should absolutely know which animatronic he’s in since it obviously as heck. And Michael after working at the same locations where GoldenFreddy is TWO TIMES by now. There’s no reason why either of them can’t just pull up with a pick up truck at the restaurant and go. “Hey Evan we’re gonna go find the rest of the family. Bring your Robot and hop in.” I’m also curious…Whst do you think of words at end of Fnaf 4 could be? The “I will put you back together again.” Nowadays I hear different takes on this. I saw a theory that CC couldn't posses Fredbear because he didn't die from it, he was just put into a coma. His body also wasn't in direct contact with the animatronic at the moment of his death, like all of the other possessions.

That's a good point about Golden Freddy being outside the window. That's the best theory on that cutscene I've seen so far. As far as FNAF 4 goes, I'm fairly sure that after Evan saw someone put on a springlock suit, or worse yet, saw someone inside (making him think they've been eaten), he developed a fear for them. William Afton often brings his work home with him (as seen in the Trick or Treat game in VR) so the animatronics would walk around spooking Evan at night, and their appearance would be more frightening because of the wild imagination of a child.
I like to think that Michael wearing sleeveless muscle shirts is not to imply that he is athletic but rather to perpetuate the intended personality that Michael is a total douchebag “bro” type. Stereotypically, people like that wear muscle tanks.

I’m not gonna lie, this is probably the closet someone has gotten to solving the lore. The only issue I have is that in Sister Location, HandUnit says that Circus Baby’s was created AFTER the closure of Freddy FazBear’s Pizza. Other than that, this is flawless.

I think an underrated piece of evidence for Michael being the protagonist of the original games is how a part of Freddy’s music box plays in his sister location cutscene, like it’s alluding to his past adventures, which would include FNAF 1.

Certainly don't fully agree with every part of the theory, but I think the section on Midnight Motorist is super interesting and might genuinely be the intended interpretation. We never do see the inside of the bedroom after all, so just assuming it is the Crying Child's is just that: an assumption. I also think the link to the Staff Bot Family is a really inventive pull that despite being outside the box doesn't feel like a reach at all. Excellent work with the theory overall.

I used to think Elizabeth was first, given that her room is empty in the fnaf 4 minigames, and Ballora sings about an empty room, but it could very well be all a coincidence. Like you said, then William's motive is unexplained.
One thing that confuses me is who you say is William's wife, in midnight motorist, speaks in a similar color to Michael's in fnaf 4. That's weird.

Did you know the eye changing part of fnaf is from an old saying that "the eyes are the window to the soul", or to be more acurate; looking into someone's eyes can tell you a lot about them without even talking to them.
That's why the eye colour is so important in FNAF; a series heavily dedicated to the lore of certain souls.

One joke video, 'An Undeniably Canon FNaF timeline' said that William kept the springlocks in place with duck tape.
This would explain the suit not snapping when he used it after the first location that used spring bonnie closed.
But when he got in it the time it crunched him, either he was too hasty and the tape came off, or time and water made it wear off, and the movement of putting it on broke the remaining tape threads.

I've also seen people say that maybe the Glitchtrap fur suit actually existed which would be waterproof and William was in that to solve the spring lock problem
i figured the springlock suits werent actually as dangerous as we think they were which would make sense why they would still use the springlock suits and let workers who arent professionals when it comes to the suits wear them after the suits springlocks were wound up properly instead of just having multiple suits, and it explains why we only have 3 characters that are believed to be victims of springlock failures with only 1 confirmed (springtrap, shadow freddy, and shadow bonnie) and the springlock suits were just kept in storage or kept by william and stored in the saferooms of the fazbear locations, either way letting william have access to the springbonnie suit and keep it repaired to keep the springlocks reliable, and the springlock failure that caused springtrap only happened because of a mix of the springbonnie suit being stored away for so long to were the suit was starting to decay a little and become less reliable, the decay of the location which caused leaks in the saferoom which caused the suit to be damp while sitting in a humid area making the springlocks more likely to slip, and william trying to put the suit on quickly before having time to fix it to try scarring off the 5 spirits

This is an interesting theory, I like how it puts all the pieces together. I've always interpreted it as the first MCI coming first. Obviously there is the chica deathlike in ucn of 'i was the first I have seen everything' (which could just mean first victim of the MCI not the whole thing, but the fact she has seen everything suggests first victim overall). Charlie's death happening after this makes more sense to me too as there is references to staff not being allowed in locations (FNAF 2, midnight motorist and Jr's) after kids go missing, which is why he had to kill her outside (going against his MO). The other deaths, I honestly have no idea about the order though. As you said, a lot of it is contradictory

Elizabeth makes sense to be the first or even second (maybe after one of the missing children’s incidents) because she (as circus baby) says how important knowing how to pretend is, he seems to know aLOT about springlock suits, so she might’ve even known or overheard things about her father, though that doesn’t make a ton of sense since then she’d probably be less excited about the funtimes (her fathers creations) so maybe instead she was killed first but then grew restless and angry from trying so hard to be perfect, being influenced by the other restless spirits and witnessing the deaths of the others by the hands of her father
Also a possibility for if Evan was rhe one having the nightmares in fnaf 4
His fear of the springlock animatronics would likely start from the death of his sister and maybe his own father aswell, his sister being scooped would be the reason for the stomach mouthed animatronics bur of course this could be applied to Micheal, though I think it also makes sense of it’s Even due to the fact him having such bad nightmares right after his sisters death (because in game you play as a small child, not a teenager as Michael tends to be portrayed as) and feeling alone (due to his bullying) would result in that and the specific fear of the freadbear animatronic too

The only thing I think could change is when Mike was scooped. I believe it to have been just before William was springlocked because William had to tell him about the sister location facility before dying and spending 30 years in the backroom, because there wouldn't be any way for William to tell this information to Mike otherwise, and i would think that Mike would have gone to the sister location as soon as this was reveled to him. So maybe he tells Mike about going to find Elizabeth, then very soon after this William goes to get springlocked and confined, Mike goes either at the same time as this is happening or little time later after he expects for William to return or contact him again but he doesn't find him and he doesn't respond because he's dead already so NOW he definitely has to go to this SL place. Then his line about "i'm going to come find you" would make sense, since the line implies that he's saying this some time after being scooped ("i've been living in the shadows") and that he doesn't know where William might be after the last time he saw or heard of him which was when he got the SL info (either he could have been in the Pizzeria which Fazz. entert. helped to cover up the location of the saferoom as soon as possible, or in Fazzbear Frights if this was the future then it wouldn't make sense for Mike to not find Springtrap in the rubble).

I also i'm of those who think that Evan is the protag of FNAF 4, that's maybe more of more speculation and headcanon if you will but the security Logbook Fredbear drawing could have been just another way Foxy bro Mike used to tease Evan when he was alive just like the other kids did. The kids in the neighborhood are the ones that are also spreading rumors and making up stories about the animatronics, and Mike being a natural artist (he likes to draw at least) could have made that drawing before to scare Evan altering his favorite character (fredbear i would assume) among the usual teasing with scaring him with foxy and bullying him with the kiss freddy thing and stuff. So That would explain why Evan (if he is the protag) sees Freadbear in his deadbed just like how Mike drew it in the security logbook and how does Mike knows about it with such precision, asking if Evan (has dreams) still sees him in his dreams/nightmares. That is implying that Evan has seen this version of Fredbear before, and before his dead he constantly saw it in his nightmares enough for Mike to ask if he has dreams and to specifically draw nightmare there.
Who knows. It's just fun to think about.

Regardless of what the answer to that question is, I'm really, _really_ hoping that some huge, major questions about the lore of the franchise such as these are answered once the _FNaF_ film is released.
(Edit: I now believe that whatever Evan Afton saw was most likely his sister Elizabeth Afton being scooped by the Circus Baby animatronic. This would make sense to me, as it would explain why Nightmare Fredbear has a mouth on his stomach, because, to a child, Baby's stomach hatch opening up and essentially "swallowing" Elizabeth whole probably looked almost as if Baby was eating Liz from her stomach.

7:30 I would say it's Cassidy, since she doesn't have as close a relation to William and thus wouldn't be as spiteful in UCN; plus, that minigame is about putting all of the MCI children to rest. Evan, meanwhile, was killed by his father's creation, The One You Should Not Have Killed has been referred to as a "he", and he _may have_ seen his sister's death (which would prompt his fear of the animatronics).

Two things that always bugged me is the claim that Charlie was the first death (for the exact reason you stated, why would the security puppet exist already) and that both Charlie (through Henry) and Chica claim first victim status. I think another factor as well as to why William killed Charlie is revenge. Not only for Henry seemingly having a perfect family but if he and William worked on the springlock suits together, then after Evan gets bitten, couldn't he not only blame Micheal but also Henry which then leads to him killing Charlie? It fits into your theory without any problems and gives more motivation for William to kill, IMO.
it occurs to me now that: with this theory, does that make midnight motorist the first chronological depiction of william afton in a minigame? because that could imply the purple reflects some form of corruption over time (rather than exclusively being stylistic). after all, we see michael turn purple once he's literally been altered (and undead!) post-scoop. william might be 'warped' by grief or 'feel dead inside' and thus be depicted as purple once his last living child leaves -?

Yeah fnaf 4 will always be Evan's last comatose moments, since it explains the grandfather clock alarm, iv bags and flowers, fredbear, and nightmare animatronics being the literal embodiment of death waiting to take Evan to his inevitable demise. The pieces just fit too well narratively speaking for it to be anything else imo
Especially when you take into account that fnaf 4 was originally supposed to be the finale to the series, all we know of Michael Afton at that point was that he was a jerk brother that got his sibling mutilated, intentionally or otherwise. Narrative wise, it just doesn't make sense for the player to be Michael in fnaf 4

Unlike most of the fnaf jumpscares, that actually made me jump.
Actually I think that maybe we can speculate that the yellow/orange man is William Afton before he killed anyone. We know Scott used different color schemes to symbolize each character so maybe once William began killing, his color goes from yellow to purple, and guess what: the opposite and complimentary color of yellow on the color wheel is purple.
Maybe it means it's too late for him and he can't be saved, idk

Having played FNAF3 just a few days ago, I have a theory that could explain Evan's fear of the Animatronics.
In the recorded Tapes it is stated, that the Springlock Suits are not to be worn, because of "multiple and simultanius Springlock failures". Maybe Evan saw a Springlock snap on an employee. That combined with his vivid imagination of someone being eaten by the animatronic (while they were just puting on the suit) could result in his thoughts being: "If the Suit gets you, you get eaten by it, stabbed by it and you could die from it" or something.
First the Tapes say "These Suits should not be worn, but do as you wish", after a smaller Springlock accident, that Evan saw happening. And the next day is the birthday party and he gets chomped by the Golden Freddy Animatronic, so now the management says "DO NOT WEAR THESE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE", since Evan dies from the bite.
That's my two cents on the matter anyway, so what do you think about it?

Mini theory i think you would appreciate; you had mentioned that henry is responsible for the classic's, springlocks, and puppet but i also suggest that he is responsible for most if not all of the fazbear simulator animatronics (buyable ones) we see that the mediocre melodies are in the style of the classics and are likely improved variations, in addition el chip has a similar build to the rockstar animatronics, which interestingly enough the rockstar freddy has a purple hat and tie. This is just a mini theory but it explains the fnaf 6 animatronics.

I do like these theories but I still feel Elizabeth died first, and that Evan saw his sisters death, this could lead to his fear since he actually loves the regular animatronics but is afraid of the Golden ones. That strikes me as odd but if he's afraid of them cause they are the only ones that people can actually get into that could also further his fear and the giant abdomen mouth on the bottom of the golden Fredbear and the shadow Fredbear. also it makes sense that Michael is the one in fnaf 4 being tormented not only cause of the drawing but also cause it could be that Afton blamed Michael for his sons death. but im not sure if i agree with michael working at both locations i do think however he as been to both locations or atleast the fnaf 2 once due to his halucinations of the core animatronics there Especially withered Phantom freddy and the puppet so he probably did often run off to the fnaf 2 location to find his brother if the foot prints outside were golden freddys but i dont have a fully theory yet but this is helping me alot im glad that we all can come together and make theories as a team

The funtimes only attack if one child is in the room, so nobody saw Elizabeth death. Fnaf 4 was going to be to end so Elizabeth dieing first is pointless, when we go into the empty sister room there a broken Mangle toy, that broken Mangle toy is evidence that it had been played with, Also you you believe MCI85 that means Elizabeth died in 1985 because The funtime were made to experiment on remnant, William couldn't have discovered remnant until after he killed Charlie or the Mci.
There doesn't have to be any reason for a child's fear at all. In fact, Micheal could have exaggerated it in Evan from feeling slightly uncomfortable to genuine paralysing fear. He could have told him made up stories about them. Your version messes up the timeline

One thing I just remembered due to an ID Fantacy short is that William had to have died before phone guy. Because phone guy is the one that tells us about them sealing off all of the safe rooms (presumably to hide the rabbit corpse) in fnaf 3. So William dies somewhere between fnaf 2 and 1.

The fact that most of the comments actually agree with you is telling. This is FNAF, one of the most decided fanbases ever. Hell, the whole “Evan being the BV” is STILL being hotly debated like a year after the post about logbook puzzle. After security breach came out, I kinda dipped from even caring abt FNAF but finding ur channel has genuinely made me brain storm about this seires like I used too. This theory ESPECIALLY. In Fazbear Frights it's implied Employees have died in one even before the failures that shut the use of the suits down, since they literally tell you to move away from crowds before bleeding out as to not ruin the customer experience. Obviously, just an idea, nothing based on much, but a possibility.

To explain Evan's fear, maybe he saw an employee get springlocked and its scares the ever living shit of him. If I was kid and I just watched what I assumed was just a fun mascot that I've more then likely grow up around suddenly lock up, start violently shaking and screaming, all the while blood is pouring out of the suit, I would not want to be anywhere near another Freddy's location.

The ways you talk about Ennard-era Michael never fails to make me laugh. Never have I ever thought I'd hear the phrase "piloted like a flesh Gundam" or "self-resurrected as a walking flesh-bag," but these are GLORIOUS.
I really don't think the mound in the woods of Midnight Motorist is Evan's grave. It doesn't make sense; if Evan survives his bite long enough to go to the hospital (explaining the hospital paraphenalia in FNAF 4), then how did he end up in an unmarked grave in the woods? He wasn't murdered and covered up, his death was a legitimate accident for which he recieved medical treatment.
One exciting possibility is that the mound is SISTER LOCATION'S BUNKER entrance. The SL map shows the FNAF 4 house is adjacent to the bunker, not right on top of it, and if Michael has some knowledge of how the animatronics are operated his being the protagonist of most of the games is more believable. The appearance of Fredbear/Evan outside his window may have prompted him to run to the bunker to escape, or to use its controls to communicate with Evan.

10:23 It's made very clear that Fredbear's and Freddy's were both open at the same time at one point becouse on the night 4 phone call from FNaF 3, Phone Guy mentions an incident at the *sister location* which resulted in multiple and simultaneous springlock failures that causes the springlock suits to get retired. What sister location could he talk about if not Fredbear's?
This also proves that Fredbear's didn't close due to the bite of '83 but it closed becouse of the springlock failure mentioned in the phone call (since the bite has to take place before the spinglock failure becouse we literally see 2 springlock suits in the 3rd FNaF 4 minigame).

And honestly that 1 gives me my biggest confirmation on that Since one of scraptraps "is bitter sweet but fitting" And knowing what we know about William I think it's safe to say Michael is the only Person who William Would be a little somber about killin. I love this, but I still like to think that Elizabeth died before Evan. Since Elizabeth is missing from the Fnaf4 minigames, I think that's the event that caused Ms Afton to probably leave and William isolating himself. That's why the remaining brothers were so independent and unsupervised throughout the course of the game.
It wouldn't really explain why William would build the Funtimes before killing any kids but honestly, I think Charlotte might have been the one to go first. Security measures are pretty common in establishments without previous child-killing cases anyway, so I think it wouldn't be far fetched for Henry to have security in place before any murders. Finding out that something was going on with these animatronics through Elizabeth is what led William to continuing those murders.
At the same time, I think I prefer your narrative of William not originally being a killer, but inspired from his kid's death. Makes him a much deeper character. Great job!

There's another point that can back up what you said about Midnight Motorist, and the person watching TV not being Michael. "Leave him alone tonight, he had a rough day." would be SUCH a strange thing for a child to say to an abusive parent about their sibling (whom they bully).
However, it would be a COMPLETELY normal thing for a wife to say to her husband, who she knows has a bit of an anger problem, if she knows her child (whom she loves and cares about) had a rough day.
I think the only concern I have for the theory is W.Chica's voice line in ucn saying she was the first, it could be that she was the first of the first lot of the missing children, but for another take on things, William could have done the first missing children's incident, which prompted the creation of the puppet.

Awesome job! I do like most points. However, I feel there's still one inconsistency. On the SL ending where Michael "speaks" to William he states "It was right where you said it would be" and "I put her back together, just like you asked me to", so Michael went to the sister location on a mission set by William. This wasn't addressed in your theory but you put up a solid framework for us to work through this point. I will certainly be thinking about this a lot.
The theories you made here are very interesting and great. but I personally believe that Elizabeth's death happens after the first missing childen incident; this is because, why would William create the funtimes if doesn't even know that animatronics can be possesed. and while your story of William seeing Fredbear moving does sound logical, it just feels a bit of a strech. I believe William sensed a change in the animatronics in the first Freddy's location, and discovered the dead bodies of his victims in the animatronics, (remember that the puppet is the one who stuffed the kids in the animatronics, not William) and came to the idea that he can bring his son Evan back to life, and so he creates the funtimes, and the rest ensues. but that's just my opinion.

Ballora sings "no more joy, an empty tomb" and elizabeth's room being empty too isnt a coincidence, they tie together perfectly. the fact that in FNAF 4 her room is empty and the nightmare animatronics having teeth in their stomachs, it only makes sense that CC witnessed his sister's death so timeline wise, elizabeth died before CC. but the only thing that doesnt make sense is the exact timeline SL and FNAF 4 take place and the relation to one another. since Eli died before CC, that means that the player plays as CC in FNAF 4 and not mike. but then when you consider the fact that Mike went to SL to 'look for a job' , it means that CC died around the time mike got that job at SL. also, if we're really playing as Mike in FNAF 4 then why do the nightmares have teeth in their stomachs since mike didnt witness eli's death? and if we're really playing as Mike, that would mean CC's death had already taken place by the time this happens.

You use GoldenDuo in this so I might as well say some of stuff. Big question I always had. If Evan is in an Animatronic like GFreddy perhaps. Why is no one in the Afton family actually look for him, found him or help him? Aka why didn’t William or Michael pull a Sister Location’ for CC? In other break him out of the pizzeria he’s in. Or even better Repair his body?
Think about it. Will set his Mike to go get his sister that died, out of the rental thing location. Meaning both of them knows that her ghost in a machine. Michael after telling us and his father use the words and I “Quote, “Put Her Back Together”. Words that we seen before in the last game before SL, in Fnaf 4.
But why not do the same thing for the younger brother!? William should absolutely know which animatronic he’s in since it obviously as heck. And Michael after working at the same locations where GoldenFreddy is TWO TIMES by now.
There’s no reason why either of them can’t just pull up with a pick up truck at the restaurant and go. “Hey Evan we’re gonna go find the rest of the family. Bring your Robot and hop in.”
I’m also curious…Whst do you think of words at end of Fnaf 4 could be? The “I will put you back together again.” Nowadays I hear different takes on this. Most commonly is people say it’s NOT William but I recently found a lot of problems if it’s not. Maybe give some thoughts on this in the future.

I saw a theory that CC couldn't posses Fredbear because he didn't die from it, he was just put into a coma. His body also wasn't in direct contact with the animatronic at the moment of his death, like all of the other possessions.

I would also like to add that In the Fazbear Frights series "The Real Jake", there are two brothers named Evan and Michael, and Michael is described as "robotic". Obv they are on a different timeline, but i think this should be taken into consideration

That's a good point about Golden Freddy being outside the window. That's the best theory on that cutscene I've seen so far.
As far as FNAF 4 goes, I'm fairly sure that after Evan saw someone put on a springlock suit, or worse yet, saw someone inside (making him think they've been eaten), he developed a fear for them. William Afton often brings his work home with him (as seen in the Trick or Treat game in VR) so the animatronics would walk around spooking Evan at night, and their appearance would be more frightening because of the wild imagination of a child.
I like to think that Michael wearing sleeveless muscle shirts is not to imply that he is athletic but rather to perpetuate the intended personality that Michael is a total douchebag “bro” type. Stereotypically, people like that wear muscle tanks.

Having the figure watching Tv from Midnight Motorist be the wife is really interesting, since a lot of theories assume that the “He’s had a hard day, leave him alone” is AFTONS internal dialogue, making the figure the older son. Having the dialogue be spoken, and referring to another person, shakes it up
But if Charlie got killed before the mci, than the puppet wouldn't really have a motive.. wouldn't it make more sense if she got killed after the mci, since than there's a motive for the puppet to be made.
