We need to teach our Sons that this behavior is unacceptable. We also need to control access to our children by anyone and stop being Soo comfortable. I had a great uncle cousin that ran through all his nieces when I was very young. No one did anything he ruined their lives. If her father knew dude should have come up missing. She's fast. Fucked a dude as soon as she met him at 17, and then when asked if she wanted to be his hoe, she said yes. When Mark asked why she said the dick was good. This is a 17 year old girl with this mindset.
Her momma was fast as well. Her dad tried to be a disciplinarian, but when she went to her mom's place it was a party. She was partying, dancing, drinking , going to the beach at 2am at 12 years old, etc. There was no structure. That's what the mom showed her daughters growing up. Like mother like daughter.
Stop trying to make it a race thing. She is/was fast as hell. That's why she chose this fast life.

Being curious about sex/love/romance/the opposite sex is a normal in adolescence. Having parents who degrade you, abuse you, knowingly expose you to sexual predators and drinking etc. when you are quite literally a child… is not normal and left her open to a lot of trauma. Normalize not calling young girls fast, especially when they are ALWAYS usually called fast in relation to the older men who prey on, groom and manipulate them.

Mark, since you seem to interview a lot of people who have been sexually and physically abused, maybe you should consider taking some training to better understand the considerations as you ask these questions and respond to their answers. I know you intend to do good work, but you often mishandle both the questions and responses. I understand you interview 1000s and that is remarkable, but the possibility that you have become desensitized to this subject matter is interfering with your delivery. These people have not been interviewed by 1000s and they can feel violated and caught off guard by the direct line of questioning. You paying them does not absolve you of having a more sensitive approach. For example, you could start by asking them whether they are okay with you asking these specific lines of questions. This will allow/enable the victims to feel more in control of this information. Thank you for considering this and best wishes to you.

She says she wasn’t sexually active until age 14 as if to say that was late in life. She did say she was first sexually abused at age 12 with someone on her Mother’s side of the Family but all the variables can get complex as to why either a person becomes sexually uninhibited where others who had similar experiences would never consider being loose as it were. She also said she never got the help she needed regarding her difficulties in school, panic attacks, etc. so again, many variables to why people do what they do but we are creatures of our environment as that’s what the upbringing presented & seems to dictate both consciously & subconsciously. But it was interesting for her to say she was in therapy since elementary school but quit because she needed help & not cops showing up at her door because of what she said to the therapist as all she wanted was help but they can’t help if the minor is still in a toxic dysfunctional setting but removing to foster homes is not always good either. She also said her Sisters did not have the same personality doing what she does. Again, it can get complex. Sounds like the Grandmother would have been better for her to live with but she didn’t discuss if the Grandmother had moral beliefs

You can become sexually active when you want to it’s your body having said that 12 is certainly not mature enough to make that decision ! It is sad. She’s still a child 😢 she should be at school not walking the streets. Life is becoming increasingly challenging especially for the underprivileged. We’re headed for a very turbulent future I just wish she could see the downfall she’s headed towards but with little to no parental guidance and higher education it is difficult to have a foresight.

Yep. I thought I was ADHD. However, the C-PTSD caused me to have the normal human reaction to abuse and trauma. Your brain will literally rewire itself and emotionally protect or react the only way it knows how.

It would take the desire to change and the self-discipline to change for the better. Thank you for sharing your story.

i used to live in jamaica and there was a girl in my neighbourhood who went missing for three weeks. when she came back unharmed nobody knew where she had gone until she started posting advertisements on her social media selling her body for $3000 jmd ($23 usd at the time) i knew her since i was a little kid and she was even younger than i was when she started doing this. her family started getting harrassed so they all left the neighborhood and left her behind alone in that house at the end of the road. she survived on her own that way. it was really sad to see her walking home and have my family tell me not to look at her. we weren't allowed to play outside for an hour each time she walked by. i have no idea if she ever made it out of that life.
personally i blame the parents in situations like these.... and it is heartbreaking to see a story like this and know it happens all the time.
