I worked at Wendy’s, and indeed the meat is leftovers. But it’s only the meat that has surpassed serving times on the grill. Once it’s passed it’s stored in a heated container till someone has time to wash the meat and chop it up and store it in the walk in. It’s always used either that day or prepared next morning for next days chili. It may sound gross but a lot of people eat leftover Turkey or chicken after holidays so it’s no different.

Why do I think y'all are filming in Jason's car to hide for the boys? 😂 Former Wendy's employee here... The patties that aren't sold go into a container in the walking then used for the chili the next day. I've tried it with freshly cooked and day old meat... The day old makes for a richer flavor and thicker chili.
It's not left over meat from Wendy's there is only certain hours the meat is good to serve on a burger to not waist it they add in chille that's the reason Wendy's has chille
