Oh the nostalgic memories of when you were fed on domestic routes. As a former flight attendant myself for over a quarter century on Intercontinental routes,I now always, bring plenty of food myself onto any flight longer than two hours if travelling in economy on domestic routes.Even intercontinental route food services in Y are paltry on most airlines nowadays. Exceptions being most Asian carriers,Austrian, and sometimes Emirates.Turkish are brilliant too!!
That is very true; buy the Food at the Airport; moreso when flying across the USA, especially from the West Coast to the East Coast and vice versa. This also applies to short-haul flights, too.
@@Evili555 I know that. But I meant that the airline could offer better service on such long flights. On e.g. London to New York you get 1-2 full meals. They *really* need to improve there inflight service! Greetings from Saudi Arabia 👍😄😅🇸🇦
Merry Christmas guys. I am so grateful for the entertainment put out in 2020, to distract us from the troublesome times. Miri Kirihimete from New Zealand. 🎄
That’s a very poor meal for such a long flight. I was served a hot meal, plus a small snack box on a 7 hour flight with American DUB-PHL last Summer. So to reason to not on this, especially on a flagship service. I suspect it’s because it’s classed as a domestic flight. ✈️
United and Delta offers the same thing with their long haul Honolulu routes as well. Hawaiian is the only carrier that serves a meal to Hawaii from all the mainland.
Given the level of the food and beverage service (or lack of) provided on current flights I have resorted to bringing my own "picnic lunch" on board nowadays. I purchase any beverages after clearing security. David, that little snack that you were served was totally insufficient for a flight of almost 8 hours. They could of at least offered "buy on board meals" for passengers who hadn't brought their own food on board. I don't expect or need any food/beverage on a short hop but for a long flight a meal or two snacks would be appreciated. Thanks for a nice review. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in 2021. ❤❄☃️🎄🙏🌎
Wow. 🤦♀️ My nine hour AA flight from Dallas to Frankfurt (in Economy) served TWO MEALS! I guess domestic means that you won't be hungry, regardless of the flight length. 🙄🤔
The food provided is ridiculous. I was fortunate enough to fly KLM short haul March 2020 UK to Germany and back via Amsterdam. All 4 short legs flights provided a snackbox that was not far off what you got there. Water, cold pop drink, sandwich and snack. Serving that on long haul pre Covid is an absolute piss take.
I don’t remember the last time I heard appreciation for airlines of the US. Especially related to soft product/Cust service/generous meals/friendly crew etc

@@BagusWidyanto_HappyIn1997 I understand. But, if you are flying during a non-mealtime period, why serve you a meal? Eat before you fly and after getting to the destination.
