    That’s a good trick using the blur tool for chromatic aberrations.

    Until now I didn't know how to take off chromatic aberrations from my pictures. Sure I will apply soon and often your method to my photos. 😀

      Hi Darleen, I just recreated old Photoshop technique. I couldn't do it until now without the Blur tool.

    Hi Jakub, I'm really enjoying and benefiting from your excellent tutorials, thank you. Can you please help me with at catalog problem in Luminar Neo, when importing images into a catalog from my storage drive Neo sems to duplicat the same images multiple times, up to 8 times in fact. I have trashed the 'extra' files and then deleted them from the recycle bin but having turned off my computer the next time I switch on and open Neo the files are back!!! This is driving me crazy. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm running Windows 10.

      Hi... here is why it happens and how to solve it:
      First, why it happens:
      What you describe happens to users with their Catalog (Luminar Neo Catalog folder) saved in their Windows Pictures folder. This folder holds everything from Backups, Sample Images, Editing Information AND the Mini Previews. These previews (PreviewCache folder) are what you see as they are nothing more than small JPG files stored in several subfolders (2C, CF, 7F, etc.), and as they are stored within the main Pictures folder, they also show together with all the rest of the images in this folder.
      Now how can you fix (avoid) this:
      - The first option is to move Lumina's Catalog away from the Pictures folder. It can remain on this drive but must be out of the Pictures folder.
      - The second option is also straightforward, as all you need to do is to open the Pictures folder > Luminar NEO Catalog > Right-Click on the PreviewCache folder and select Properties (Alt+Enter) > At the bottom of the Properties window, select Hidden and click on Apply. After this, the folder will become hidden (and its images), but Luminar NEO will still be able to use it.

    I just bought Luminar NEO in Oct 2023. In my Develop/Optics section, I only have the Auto Defringe check box. I don't have the AutoFix Chromatic Aberrations checkbox. WHY?

    • @CleverPhotographer
      @CleverPhotographer  Рік тому

      Hi, thank you for your question. You don't see the Chromatic Aberrations option because you are not editing the RAW file. The advance corrections are only available in the Develop RAW tool, which will only show for RAW images.

  • @RandomZeroGravity

    This tool is not in recent version 1.20.1 (13681). Such as Auto Distortion Corrections and Auto Fix Chromatic Aberrations.

      Hi, the auto-correction tools you mentioned are only available in the Develop RAW tool, which is designed for RAW development and only works with RAW files.

      @@CleverPhotographer Yeah, I tried to do the Luminar Neo - Masterclass. It does not shows for the class "04 - RAW File Edit" section. Only showing the develop instead of develop RAW. Unless there is a mistake the file provided is not the original RAW file or Luminar Neo unable to recognize the file type is a RAW file.
