I also built a media wall as a relative beginner (made a few bits out of MDF and wood about 20 years ago). Watched a bunch of videos on Americans framing walls (as that's basically what you're doing first), then plasterboarding. I was just going to say instead of those L-shaped brackets, you can just "toe-screw" the frame together with long screws.

That's actually a great idea. Even to this day I hadn't thought of that! If I need to build framework again I'll do that. Thank you!!
Get yourselve a japanese pull saw they're a game changer, thin kerf and very quick to cut. One side is for cross cut the other is for rip cuts
I think I need to start saving up for some better quality saws! The pull saws I have were very cheap and frustrating 😂
Go to harbor freight get the small hand saw works great for what your doing and much cleaner and fast cuts
