I’m an international applicant. Do you know of there’s any way to take extra courses for international students to boost the attractiveness as an applicant?
Hello. I'm a fresh college grad (class of 2018) who wants to apply to HBS in the fall of 2020. I graduated from GWU with a 3.6 in polisci and IR and just started working at Microsoft in their "MACH" training program. 730 GMAT, just took it yesterday. My whole interest in business school revolves around SCR and that's eventually what I want to do with my career (I know this sounds like fluff but I do have a compelling argument for this.) Despite not coming from a feeder school and having a lower than average GPA, do I have a shot at HBS? And what can I do during these two years to improve my chances?
At top schools, e.g top 10 USNEWS, adcoms put more weight on grad school, and esp. uundergrad, gpa than getting CFA or CPA which is considered OK but not distinctive, even tho those two certifications are onerous.
Ahh fair enough, I just finished my level 3 exams. I got a sub 3 GPA in an intense degree (Statistics) at the LSE and got a 700 gmat (730 practice but got flu will retake)
@mango-strawberry hi I did two bachelor one is 3 year degree in history (I got less in it), after that I did 5 year math degree in which I got 4 gpa ..which one will count for counting gpa? I had 4 gpa in maths..in earlier degree I got less because I was suffering from.desease so I was indulge in that too ..after recovering from disease I excelled in maths degree

As of July, 2020 he doesn't seem to have pursued an MBA. I'll keep rooting for him, though.

There is. But it won't even help by 1%. GPA and GMAT are the biggest determinants.
What are the coursework? For example someone from B. Tech who wants to get into management program should take which type of coursework?
How can I send my credentials to Sandy and get an honest evaluation of my chances?

Thank you.
Is it possible to graduate from college with 2.2 gpa? My college requires minimum 2.7 gpa to graduate.
no lol
Does the school you take these courses in matter?

Hey! It's been 3 years, what did you choose? I am in the same place right now where you were 3 years ago.
anyone know what schools he got into?
nowhere
Someone say in the comment that he's got into UNC (North Carolina, I guess)
How do professional qualifications compare to the grad school courses. (Eg CFA, CPA)

Krn AM hi! What schools did you end up getting into? And what was your final GMAT?
Those schools are not hard to get into with his status
Disagree. His GPA is horrifically bad.
BS. If he worked at Goldman Sachs or another top IBD firm, he gets in with a 2. All they care about is top tier employment.
@@Frederick0220 He's a C student maybe he came from Engineering background?
@@MrBjorn6 Good point.
Lol
How tf do you get a 2.2 GPA?? You’d have to pretty much fail at every class
Shut up
