This is the first AI video where I actually believe that the creator really looked up the original concept arts and visuals for Jodorowsky's Dune movie.
You really captured the essence of the Jodorowsky version, based on the facts that came out over the years, culminating in the documentary--spaceships like fish, Floyd score, Dali. I've never seen anything like this until now, and I've been reading about Jodorowsky's plans for decades. So well done, you should be proud.
Plus Orson Welles, Dáli… this is all the concept art come to life… plus AI Pink Floyd music. A literal hallucinatory SF nightmare realized, ironically all thanks to “thinking machines”
@@JibrailJones Check out Kluster/Cluster (Roedelius & Moebius, no less), they had enough material out in the early 70's for Jodorowsky to have possibly heard and would have been as good if not a better fit. That mixed in with more dramatic and kooky stylings in the Pierre Henry with Michel Colombier collaboration "Messe Pour La Temps". Pink Floyd without Syd Barrett got kind of dry and characterless outside of the most enigmatic songs that happen to be a black woman singing and some clock samples (and maybe a couple of hummable melodies?). "Another Brick In the Wall" playing over Harkonnen Giger art just seems miserable and drab, really smothers the potential.
@@user-ue4he3li8b you’re on to something with later PF music as a scoring option. I was thinking more like Obscured By Clouds/Atom Heart Mother/Meddle era, and you’re certainly right that Syd & Co. would have enhanced the Giger weirdness. Oh, and thanks for the tip, I’ll be checking out Kluster/Cluster/Qluster
I like Villeneuve's adaptation, but this imagery strikes me as something so more powerfull, transcendent, far out. The kind of thing that takes me on a trip beyond. I hope someday we'll see something like this realized as a bigger project, reaching out for everybody. Great job making this video
It's gonna take some next-level genius, to capture all the color and the exoticism, and all the grotesque aspects like Guild Navigators and Face Dancers, without making it goofy. Very well done, love it! It seems like the AI is able to create really good scenic shot and close ups, but struggles with movement, arms, hands and objects used (the daggers esp.) For me these trailers are enjoyable and uncanny at the same time!
Look up the many other channels/creators that are pumping out "movie in style of" AI vids, there's a ton. The Wes Anderson styled fantasias are some of the more incredible in regard to extrapolated style being so on point and many times fresh and replete.
Man for years i imagined a AI movie using the Jodorowsky's Dune and Moebius, Giger, Foss artwork for reference, i just rewatched the doc today and searched for Dune Jodorowosky AI in UA-cam and found this video, looks absolute amazing , the color pallete, the texture, and all the details in costume and architecture design looks a lot like a 70's Jodorowsky ultra psychedelic visionary sci-fi movie would be, great job man.
She backed out of the project because there was a scene in the script where thousands of extras take dumps on screen. Thing is, I am positive Jodorowsky would have compromised and remove that scene like he compromised on other things like Dali’s screen time.
Jodorowsky approached her about it. She was interested because she was a big fan of the book, but she turned it down once she read a scene where Rabban and 2000 of his soldiers all drop their pants and take a shit simultaneously as an insult to Duke Leto. Geraldine Chaplin had agreed to play Jessica before the movie got cancelled.

Agree. People still talk about his version and hype it so much because it has never been made, so we become co-makers of Jodo’s Dune. We can imagine our perfect Dune in Jodo’s project. Jodo is charismatic director, with cool vision, but his Dune could be the biggest disaster in movie history. He was consumed by his own ideas about Dune and did not care than much about actual themes of the books that he supposedly wanted to adapt.
I am sooooo fascinated and somewhat conflicted by this. Its so marvelous and, since i really liked the two part of Villeneuve Dune, i somewhat understand what some critic means by his cold aproach.
